For the rubber "Wakefield" F1B planes, note the use of Delayed Prop Release (DPR) mechanisms - the model is launched hard with the propeller not turning at first. After gaining 15-20 feet just from the initial throw, a clutch mechanism engages and the rubber motor starts turning the propeller for the flight.

手から放たれた機体のプロペラが回り始めて自力上昇を始めるシーンはスロー動画ならではですね。
強風のため、３分もフライトした機体の回収はさぞかし大変だったことでしょう。
でも、参加されている方々の笑顔から当日の会場の雰囲気が伝わってきます。
さっすが名カメラマン。
