I looked on other people's website to see what they charged! Takes a bit of hunting to find people that list their prices publicly but worth the hunt. Then I charged slightly lower or offered a discount because I was just starting out. Also try think of an hourly cost, break down extra things like tax, insurance, sick leave etc and benefits you dont get for being a contractor rather than an employeem this is why most contractors or freelancers charge anywhere between $40-$150 per hour :)

Hey Morgan, lots of questions there but I'll do my best to answer. Feel free to DM on instagram if you have more questions and I can reply faster with a voice note. Learn by doing, watching and researching. Get started and you will learn as you go. Follow other accounts, see what they do and mimic it. Watch TH-cam videos like this too. It seems overwhelming but you will pick it up quickly. Always specialise in 1 to 2 platforms, dont try do eveything. I do Instagram and Facebook for all my clients. I have a few others I do blog posts and web design for as additional extra projects 🥰

How many hours do you spend on you buisiness? I`d like to make illustrations, blog thumbnails and animations for blogs and social media campaigns. Besides that i`d like to get a marketing job. As much as you want. You could do 1-2 clients as a side hustle for 2-3 hours a week. But if you want to make good money, you need to do this as a full time gig!

No you dont need a million followers use canva for story templates, it's very easy and you can learn in 1 day. Watch some TH-cam videos about hashtags, it's not too complicated. Go out there and get a client, maybe even work with them for free, and you will learn so much as you go!
