I prefer a basic home weights over any "smart" gym. #1. you never have to pay a fee to use your weights. #2 you can always find YT vids if you want to follow a workout or even workout DVDs. #3 you never have to worry about somebody hacking into your weights, the system going down, or a company shutting your workout down because they went bankrupt. #4 a basic weight bench and some dumbbells should last you your whole life and won't have electricity problems. just my 2 cents for people to consider
Not for me. Give me a set up dumbbells, bands, and a pullup bar and I'm good. I don't mind re racking weights either. Bulky, takes up space, and all those confusing accessories. Looks like a future clothes hanger/ dust collector. And yeah chances of these companies going out of business is not small.
yeah if this was all offline with just some actualizations from time to time then yes but if it's always online and tracking me then hell no even though it's lovely besides.
Which they most likely will go bankrupt. One of the things that is making Peloton fail is people are tired of paying for subscriptions. And these company decides to start by doing the same? Not a good idea…
The magnetically controlled resistance is cool 😎 but my main concern is whether this device is still usable if the manfacturer goes bust or just decides to simply pull the plug... or can you use it without it being connected to the internet?
another possible issue of concern. Service - it's basically a computer. who services it ? when it has a issue ? moving parts & cables wear out. spare parts ? new cables & pulleys ?
as an old user of Speediance, the software so far is amazing! These guys make frequent update according to the feedback in the facebook community. And the free lift mode support you to do the work out offline.
Ms. Church looks Amazing!! This is definitely something I’d consider picking up. My question is, how does it compare or would there be a difference between the magnetic weight system to physical weights.
Eccentric(I’ve heard trainers pronounce it “EEEE”-Centric) You can do that with dumbbells too- explode up and slow down activates the eccentric muscles and creates time under tension. You feel much sore working out this way the next day, which means that the muscles are being repaired(with proper nutrition and sleep) to be stronger. The concept looks awesome, did it feel a bit flimsy as its so light weight?
traditional dumbbells' weight stays the same while you pull back/slow down, and this machine seems to even add the weight a little bit when you're doing it
Is this recommended for a heavier set person? Like some say that these workouts aren’t good to loose weight but idk I’m pretty new in the fitness world and thought about buying this for my home.
Girl you're gonna hurt your back doing squats like that. Try hinging more in the hips, like sit back and down. Try not to lean forward, you can seriously hurt your back that way
@@vlogginggamingandcoding that’s also true actually. I also just like going to the gym and being in that environment, disconnect and space out for a bit solely on the workout. Doing this from home is just more of a reason to be at home and many of us already work at home. 😅
It's cool if you have a lot of money to spend on a home gym and are not trying to do powerlifting. But it's much cheaper to just get a barbell set, adjustable dumbbell set, power cage, bench, and a lat pull down (you can probably get all of that for under $1200-1500).
Nah, i’m old school. I don’t need all this data and electronic crap to tell me how to workout. Been doing it since i started playing sports in middle school and now in my late 30’s l. All i see is expensive marketing gimmicks. At the end of the day there are no shortcuts to working out. You gotta go hard, you gotta sweat, the reward is how you feel afterward
the best part of going to the gym is actually going to the gym, get out of the house, enjoy the walk to the gym , talk to people over there, stretch go to sauna.
Another invention that soon turns into an expensive clothes hanger 😂. Besides, you have no muscles (no offence meant) I wonder how this works out for a strong person who benches 60-80kg and squats 100kg. If products like this were viable, all the gyms would have it. As a warm-up tool it might do but then again I’d be far better just doing running, push-ups, chin-ups and other exercises with just my body weight. I wonder how many months of gym subscription buys $3000 in the US.
Good video and information! But as a physical therapist, I want to let my friends who are new to lifting know that you CAN DEFINITELY create your own eccentric mode with regular weights, bands, smart workout machines, etc. JUST GO SLOWER. It's all about time under tension :)
If i have to pay for anything "Monthly" 😒 that's hard 👎 👎 No for me. There so many free things you can do and buy once off to keep you healthy and fit for the rest of your life. Also controlling your food is very important and also maybe planting your own veggies helps as they're not full of GMOs etc.
As someone who is slowly starting to build their at home gym, these type of videos & reviews are very helpful.

Your presentation videos are so well done. You keep me interested until the whole entire video. Some other TH-camrs I start to get bored.
a product should not be named Gym Monster unless it fits under your bed
😂
I love this comment 😂
lol!
that's a good one
I said it before and I'll say it again, the internet is undefeated... Great comment 😂😂😂
I love your videos, Shelby! They're always so fun and enjoyable. Keep up the great work!

It has an offline mode where you can do all the basic lifts... So yes!
The problem with these smart gyms is if the app ever becomes unsupported you run into all sorts of issues
Shelby, you are superb in how professional you are in your product review. Thanks for sharing!!
It's an 8 minute advertisement. Don't be so fooled.
But she’s honest! ❤❤❤, and completely done the homework for every presentation (from every point of view)
This looks pretty neat!
As usual, a great review, Shel! 😊

This was an AWESOME review!

Pretty cool! I would still prefer a full on gym though.

Thanks for the ad
"I tried the $3,000 home gym..."
Uhmm. Going to keep going to my local gym for much more.
Do you know how many profiles can be setup? One for me, wife, teenager?
Changing the weight with the finger thing is pretty cool. It's still not a home ARX though. Maybe someday.
Looks like a really cool system for at home workouts! You look really fit too!
What package are you working with. The Family, the plus or the max? Looks super interesting! Thanks for sharing very interested.
Those boxes live up to the name. Looked huge.

Do you think vendor sent this gym for a free infomercial?
I didn't see the seated rowing attachment
Seems neat. I'm too poor to buy one though.
OK, "Shelbae" - I see you
oh that looks like a great product
Very cool!!!

Look no further than peloton or mirror to see where this type of fancy home gym company is going
its a real plus that it's not to heavy
Interesting product. No cons besides its price?
there are cons to any "smart gym"
@@PhantomMagician1846 what are they?

Cool machine but I can't trust smart machines that need a subscription service.
This one doesn’t need a subscription!!
@@ShelbyChurchYou can go to the gym around California, Shelby.
wow interesting idea
Repost. What's different about this one?
Accidentally had some text that was voiceover note on the other one!
Ads instead of videos each week? Hmmmm

I think it's worth it depending on your kind of exercise and how much you would use it.
First 🎉
Why is there nobody with the speediance and a muscular body. Is it more for women and slim persons?
❤❤❤
Coooooool
Love u so much from pak.
I feel that there are more interesting things you could be reviewing…
why is a subscription even needed...
It's not, it comes with a lifetime subscription. And you can use it offline if you don't mind doing the lifts without a program.
This system offers built in training, tracking of your progress and completely eliminates false allegations on social media.
Her form is horrendous, besides that this thing looks pretty good.
You used the same script as everyone else they paid. No one should trust you
great clothes hanger

Yikes, you got a lot of muscle imbalances.
