Easy Flip to Learn - Wakeboarding | First Invert

- Often people ask me what is the easiest invert/flip to learn on a wakeboard, or which one should they try first. The answer is - everyones different. For some it's the tantrum, for others it's a backroll, and for many others it might be a scarecrow or a front roll. All that said, in my opinion, the topside backroll is the easiest flip to learn on a cable or at a cable park. It's exactly the same as doing a backflip on a trampoline. So if you have good board control then you'll be laughing!
Hopefully this tutorial/lesson helps you progress your wakeboarding and if it does let me know in the comments, and thanks for watching!

another very important tip is to hold your handle vertical when you do the flip, this wil help with your rotation too
Ah, "Guten Morgen" again - thx man 🤙🏼
I love the goofy foot tutorial. I thought I was alone.
The first invert is something ! It's so great to remember how it was first time and look back on our progression ! 👌
The idea just popped at the moment in my head after watching comments but you should do a kickers tricks list name, telling us all the name from backroll and tantrum to kgb, pete rose,.. It would help a lot of people !
Great idea!
So you saying that ts frontroll is harder? I got that one really quickly without any pain so this gives me hope that backroll will go as easy. Keep the cable tutorials coming!!!
Yeah, honestly in my opinion it’s harder! For some people it comes more naturally, but if you’ve got a solid backflip on a trampoline, then this will be one of the easiest in my experience! Good luck 😎
Hi David, thank you so much! Love your videos! Is there videos on forward Mexican roll off the kicker. Would appreciate to have a video pleaseeee. Loverly Thank you
You should do a video with the HO hovercraft, I think it would great content! Love your videos man
Ok i will try it
Lets go New Video
Need a how to for the boat also!
does the toeside/heelside make a difference on doing the backflip or are they both as easy
Send it 🙌

My first flip is the scarecrow, started this week and hopefully nail it next sesh :D will also deffo try this though!
🙌
I was wondering if there’s an extra ‘handicap’ being tall and riding a big board (155) doing this. Probably it’s a bit harder rotating/flipping in general.
I can't grasp the difference between this trick (ts backroll) and a tantrum. Could someone explain?
Tantrum is hs 😉
@@antoinedelplanque966 so... a hs backroll is called a tantrum? Correct? Great! Thx
Yes ! Backroll is ts and tantrum hs ! Names can be pretty hard sometimes haha
@@qrdemole yes but there is a trick called a heelside backroll but it is actually a front flip
@@wired0862 this is not straight forward at all :-)
my pitch is off, I often land on my tail when doing a tantrum, anyone know whats happening?
any tips for riding switch? i can take 3 corners but not the 4th and 5th and i ride at let’s go hydro
Riding switch took me forever to get comfortable with. Really the only advice i can give is pretend like you're learning to wakeboard from the beginning again. Go out and just keep riding switch and get used to how that body position and re-learn how to control the board. The more you ride, the more comfortable you will get.
Honestly that’s the best advice. You’re basically starting from the start again (except you have done it before). So hopefully with a bit of practice it will get easier!
