Me too. I read more about this medication before. I dont trust anybody anymore. If they start with giving these to everybody they dont do a test before so you will know what will happen then.

Unless you live in Minnesota. The governor there has made it illegal for doctors to prescribe to Co Vid 1 9 patients. This governor, as a politician, has decided she knows more about treatment than medical doctors. Go figure.🤔

My wife has taken hydroxychloroquine for 29 years, 200 mg daily. She is monitored for retinal plaque but has had zero. It has made her life wonderful in her fight against RA. A week or two to fight a virus would be a good choice for (hopefully) most people. Since it has been around since 1934, there is a deep history of good data.

HCQ doesn't pass the retinal membrane so its safe for the eyes. It is possible some HCQ pills have impurities like CQ that could cause eye complications, but its so rare its not worth thinking about.

HCQ is over the counter and doesn't require a prescription in over 100 countries. Doctors are clueless and tend to focus on historical data instead of trying potential cures.

There aren't many options with Lupus, and side effects tend to get worse not better. Then there is the insurance denials to deal with also.
