Same here! Does anyone know if this RetroPi mod performs better than the 60 in 1 mod? I hate emulators that lag real bad. I'll do which ever mod performs the best.

So for all those struggling for weeks like me, check that the part inside the arcade is facing left with the white circle. I completely missed that. I must have been messed up in the factory lol.
It really could use a larger screen. As another person I watched said, you can fit a dollar bill around the screen on the bezel on all 4 sides. That's like 5 inches horizontally and vertically.
So the little audio amp was a pain but I figured out how to change the audio settings on the pie. Also figured out not to crank that audio dial up too much on the amp itself. Use the mixer settings in the pi to do that and ya get no static! Great Video!

@@RetroRalph - thanks for the fast reply, I will check with Tulsa, if I buy one of these. I built a bartop 12 years ago, with an ION Icade shell, and put full PC in it (mini ITX), and a 12" LCD. It is about 18" high and plays about 1200 games (i can add more obviously). These would offer a cheaper solution, and with a Pi, it would be easier, I'm just not sure i "need" it. @@ShiftyC1202 I got my Centipede the other day and I can't imagine that the trackball will fit... the GRS trackball is much larger than what's on the countercade. It's probably half the size, so you'd need to cut a new hole for it and use a router on the bottom of the control panel to make it fit.
I want to mod my Pac Man Partycade w/ vertical monitor. I want to go with old school games using a 4 way joystick. I also want the game play to be as close to true to the original as possible. Out of all these different boards like Elf, Pi or Jamma 60 and 1 what one would you recommend for my uses?
thank you for all the info yet again. I might have to do this. Retro Ralph I am about to mod my Street Fighter 2 cabinet, which LCD controller board should I get that u recommend.
What we need here is not an LCD controller board-- this calls for a total screen replacement. Countercades have a huge bezel around a tiny screen. This needs a 13" vertical LCD! But where did the lit marquee come from? Does Dig-Dug just come with that, because my Centipede definitely did not!
Great video and great Mr. Burns suggestion (hopefully I can figure out how to set that up hehe). Any chance you can do a more in depth step by step video, I followed most of it, but some parts were kind of vague:(
Please help people, I finally drilled holes and got the joystick set up, but now after plugging in everything as shown into the mini Serge protector there is no display on screen again. Ugh. I plugged in the amp, pi, and, arcade itself. But my speaker wire ripped off on the end. Not sure how to fix it. Maybe I'll buy a seperate speaker or sound bar? Note: I have a soldering iron, but it was a Christmas gift, and i haven't learned to use it yet. I'm afraid I'll burn myself.
@@RetroRalph Thanks , but its the back part of the speaker wire so i dont even know how I would begin removing it. Lol. I assume I have to take the whole speaker out. Also, my on/off switch wire for the arcade ripped at the end. Not sure if I need it though. As i should be able to turn it on through the button on the back of the display panel switch right?
There is another TH-camr showing that yes its possible. You need to connect the wires from the power and volume to the pins on the raspberry pi. The GPIO pins on top.
Love the video. Having a challenge finding the right button setup with EmuStation/Retropie. Anyone have a good guide for setting up on the countercade with the same 5 button setup Raplh is using? TIA
