Henry Hope What is with all the hatred. Are we all not humans? Do we not all bleed the same? Not liking something does not give you a right to insult others.
NICK COIN You are twisting the meaning of the words. The Quran tells us not be be “allied” of other Jews and Christians. As in not be politically affiliated with them. It’s called foreign policy.
A Muslim individual can easily be friends with Christians and Jews
NICK COIN firstly race and religion are two different things. Secondly Islam tells us to be kind to everyone regardless of what faith or religion they belong to. There’s various teachings both in the Quran and sunnah on that. If you go back to earlier Islam, we believe that prophets Isa AS (Jesus) and Musa AS (Moses) came about. In fact the older Christians and Jews were actually part of the abrahamic religions but Islam came and replaced them.
NICK COIN you actually misplaced the words friends with allies. If there was a division you’ll stick to your allies than your friends. Islam is a religion of peace. If it was that bad, why is it that during the early times people were doing all sorts but they were forgiven then they excepted Shahadah. More over you cherry picked certain verses from the Quran without looking at the context. Look at the verses of equality. Look at how you should be nice and steady.
NICK COIN have you considered the context of the verse or did you just merely go onto google and find a a verse that contradicts the Quran. From what I have read and many others these verses were released at the time Prophet PBUH was receiving hardship from both the Jews and Christians. Now it makes logical for sense for anyone to avoid someone AT THE TIME from someone who is a potential harm to them. Now knowing the Prophet PBUH his character was so humble he would literally try his best to be nice to everyone. This is the last of which I’m going to say because you clearly are taking verses out of context. Read some verses of positivity, positivity that which baffles the mind of many and I pray Allah guides you, Ameen.

SubhanAllah, the way Dr Omar Sulaiman delivers the Allah's messages/commands in such a calming voice, makes me love Islam more and more. Sadly some Islamic preachers shout too much....that's not an ideal way to preach Islam. Islam is peaceful and modest.
