Why are they disturbing the Oba with their political quagmire? Why not go to the Edo state Executive branch of government to discuss their political nonsense or better still get their candidate on the ballot & try to win and then the Oba can pray for you. It is not the Oba's job or business to choose for the people of Edo State who their governor will be. Stop disturbing the Oba & let him manage his Royal affairs & Kingdom in peace. @@Officialjohnnyrose When those who made A1 in their English language in WAEC & graduated Summa cum laude (1st Class) write something on the internet, those who made F9 in their English language in WAEC will always show themselves & expose why they remained a failure in their lives. You can't spell or put simple grammar together but yet you want to outsmart your shadow...calling who local? I was selected by Nigerian govt @ 10yrs old to attend a gifted secondary school but declined & went to a school of my choice, best WAEC student in my school, #1 in my US graduating class (5 degrees to my name funded by scholarships & I'm in my early 30s- self-made). You allowed your emotions to becloud your judgement, you had to leave 2 replies exposing your generation for who they are. Did you read or comprehend what I wrote? You concluded I was Benin (in a country where over 371 dialects are spoken, I speak 15 Nigerian dialects & 5 foreign languages), you concluded everyone who writes on the internet is a man, you also concluded I hate Esan, where was that in my write up? Tribalism have eaten deep into you all that when faced with the truth, you bring tribalism into it (even when politics is about serving the people irrespective of tribe, religion, or sex) to justify your pointless points. This is why while other countries are progressing & moving along with the 21st century, Nigeria has retrogressed b/c of people like you who only see the world through tribes. But I'll tell you something, what I said still stands. The Oba cannot choose who gets on the ballot, if Esan people want to contest for the governorship position, they must first have a candidate & then get that candidate to be nominated by the party...other parties will also have their candidates. Only then can each nominee seek for blessings from the Oba, he will always pray for them at that point b/c they are all from Edo state & that negates any bias on the part of the Oba; It is not the other way around. These people like you claimed did not go to make their intentions known to the Oba, they were already bitter in their approach, claiming it is their turn like Emilokan. No, it is not their turn- it is the turn of any Nigerian, resident in Edo state who can get on the ballot & get majority of the people on their side. In other words, they are barking up the wrong tree and should go talk to Obaseki/Executive branch of govt. Years ago 2 Esan men went to seek the support of one of the people closest to the Late Oba of Benin (yes, I know that circle very well) & he told them same thing; if they are the nominees, he will vote 4 them. Stop disturbing the Oba with your politics of division, Edo people don't like that! A little addendum about me; I'm a Nigerian-American (grew up in both places), I take care of 22 Nigerian orphans, (about to adopt 2 more), I adopted an ESAN family of 7 (I sponsor all 5 children in school), I have another family of 7 I take care of, I have established friends & strangers in various Nigerian businesses of their choice, and since May 31st, I have sent over $13k to support friends in Nigeria who are struggling to cope with the recent inflation. Life is not all about tribes and not everyone is a failure like you. Let go of your tribalism and maybe one day, you will achieve your full potential instead of being miserable on the internet.

Especially, to continue the developmental strategy of the current governor. Possibly, a man who will not neglect the Edo State capital. And focusing solely on his village and his ethnicity.
