I hope Mike does good this year after the past few bad years they’ve had
Crops are looking good on the north and south farms.👍
Those princess crops look beautiful long may they last
Looking great. Hope you are getting some rain with the heat.
I know you have some time left before the combines start rolling. However things are looking remarkably better than the past few years! Hopefully you can hang on and bring in a good crop this year!
@@clearskiesranch1362I heard Alberta was getting bad but which areas of Saskatchewan are burning up.
@@clearskiesranch1362 Thanks for the response. Unfortunate. Are certain crops doing worse than others is it as bad as the previous years.
Mike I’m glad to see the south farm is doing good this year it’s past do I know they were a lot holler they will just turn in on insurance or tax rite off what they don’t understand is insurance doesn’t hardly pay jack squat and only so much you can count as lost what you get back from them people don’t even cover the fuel bill or the labor bill shew going to get my blood pressure up thinking how the government does farmers and truckers well working people in general but I hope the north and south farm does record breaking season this year and from now on mike good luck and all prayers coming to you and the rest of the farmers
Tell Brian there’s no time for camping. Chick peas need baby sitting 😂
In Poland we are already mostly done with harvest - what's more interesting we are on the same parallel as you :)
Yea, north american is crazy south compared to europe. Like, border between Canada and USA is on the same latitude as paris.
I'm from Finland and we are still about a month away from harvest. We have great crop growing now and i hope everything goes well and we have good harvest. Even the bad fields have good crops this year.
I'm gl that the crop looks
good.👍
generly a thinner stand makes for larger heads to balance out the yields test weight is usually higher
Just curious....which crop is generally your best profiting, I realize it may vary from year to year. Maybe I should word it as ' what is your favorite crop '
Must be a joy to have the prospect, of having crops to harvest. I know there is a way to go, until the combine goes through.
Nice to see you have a good crop
Loved the Trudeau comment
Mike you remembered the date for once 😂
8 passes of fungicide is crazy :o
Got an observation and a question.
We just travelled through Southern Alberta and Southern Saskatchewan today and am wondering why only irrigation is used in Southern Alberta but literally none in Southern Saskatchewan
Mike keeps saying how dry it has been, wouldn’t irrigation work in these conditions?
The irrigation units were running full bore most places in Alberta, then abruptly stopped once we entered Saskatchewan.
Mikes nowhere near a river that could supply water unlike Alberta..further north of him they do irrigate out of the south Saskatchewan river.. no big underground aquifer to pump out of either
In a future video could share pictures of your huge 2016 crop?
Loved your trudeau comment at the end so true
what's the folier for? also, so interesting video!!
Turdeau wheat,LMAO. Crop looks good ,Mike. Hopefully it will reach the bin.
🔥crops looks good, stay positive.. astakita sounds horrible, I no asstoria is a pain in the ass 😂🔥👊🔥🔨⚙️🏍🚜🌾
with all the in crop spraying of fungicide, insecticide, and herbicides, took into buying spray drones and build a service trailer. five drones can cover as many acres a day as 2 sp sprayers without crop damage from wheels. they can also go when the ground is wet. much cheaper than a plane and safer to operate. less water use and better coverage deep into the canopy due to the down draft.
These guys have single fields that are bigger than most American operations have for total acreage. They have several fields that are upwards of 5000 acres in single field. With an operation this size I don’t think drones are economically viable for them right now. That could all change in the very near future though.
It is currently illegal in Canada to apply crop protection products with a drone and likely will be for a few years yet.
That's gotta be the most misleading inaccurate comment on TH-cam yet
Hey Mike where is the video from AIM? People have been asking me about it😂
@@mikemitchell2554 I get it. I’m 3 months behind on getting my videos out. Its a big job !
Crops look good but prices have tanked and are below break even!
Got that right. Wheat, barley, oats have all went down everyday this week
@@jackbannock3458 Don’t forget $10 soybeans and $3.90 Corn… that’s laughable bad.
how many pounds of seed per acre in your county do you apply we used shoe drills on 12 inch spacing we pulled 40 foot JD Drills we used only 35 pounds per acre in north Colorado Wyoming boarder we average of 14 inches of moisture per year
Salut Mike magnifique vidéo et champ de blé et magnifique et le reste osi 😂😮😅😊
What is it that you called what can come into the chickpeas?
With which fungicide(s) are you treating the chickpeas?
Where can l find more information about that all, is th there a website or something else?
Do you know the names of the veraiatys of Durum that you grow?
hope you have no hard stuff so crops can mature. Your due for a good crop
Mike didn’t u guys seed late? Here in the states we seeded February march and our wheat is already turning and it’s 2 1/2 feet tall. But it may have been a moisture issue
Mike said that they had really cold spring and it took long time for crop to start growing. Also they had some frost even in june 🥶
Been haying since July 7/24. Not a drop of rain.
Go pour some concrete garented to bring rain for the south farm 🤣
You should try chickpea and flax intercrop. Less disease I hear!
I have friends who do that and I even toured thier fields. Definitely helps, but might only save 1app.. Not worth it for me to mess around and clean it. 2 apps 🤔 maybe but prb not... 3 sure
Where does astakita come from.

Why do you grow three different kinds of lentils?
When u say north and south farm how many miles are they away from each other so we understand what ur talking about
6-700 km apart. Bracken Sask in the south to bankend in the north
How is the canola
North of Wpg lots of unseeded fields. Ttmhe rains come every 2 day so far. So many ugly crops. And late so an esrly frost would be devastating.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Prices are falling faster than Trudeaus popularity.
Won’t make much money this yr. Canola crops are bad where I am.
Be looking at lots of 5-10 bu.
Cereals are getting that wave look and turning white.
By the end of next wk most will be praying for hail … myself included.
This is happening up here too. Some hill tops are cooked right off
👍
All standing nothing in the head !!👍👏🤣( Trudeau crop) nice Mike 👌 😂
👋🏼😎
Why don’t you try a test strip with no fungicide on your chick peas one year see if the fungicide actually does anything 🙈

Im impressed with how well that camera zooms in.
