I think that of everything you've done this is one of the most beautiful songs, I think it's at the level of "Archival Workflow", "Idle Hours", "One By One", "Beyond Remembrance" or my favorite "Protective Shimmer"
While I love all of these, if I had to pick 5 to call my favorites I’d go with “The Eye of Night”, “Dusk and Descent”, “Waning Sorrows”, “When All Others Are Gone”, and “Stepping Out At Dark”

This one is particularly comforting because there is a nostalgic note remiscient of the 2nd level from Halo 1, at 1:19. You crash droppod land on the Halo then emerge in awe
Interesting! I'm not familiar with the Halo game or OST, but think you can hear this special harmony in background music from time to time.

This sounds like a mix between Resident Evil Survivor prologue and Shenmue notebook's theme! It took me a bit to figure out the sounds, but I caught on quick! I love this! You should make Resident Evil music for Capcom!

@@jeanthemachine007 Ok gotcha. I was about to say Raccoon High got out May 24th. You should do Volunteer work at the RPD. When you graduate you should be ready to roll out helping your neighborly citizens around September 28th. Nothing like a great experience loving your work and creating new friends.

I like how the piano gives a strong anxiety feeling at the start, like when you felt relief entering the save room then got quickly overwhelmed by an uncertain dread that you don't have the ammo to make it to the Racoon Police Station but still have a chance to try, you know you're gonna have to step out of this room again but when...
"...At least the power's on, maybe there's even a unopened can of coffee under the coffee maker table, might as well check..."
"There's nothing here"

2024.
It's late at night and Rebecca has no desire to sleep and that's mainly because her nightmares are ongoing for a couple of weeks.
Always the perky and happy scientist that Leon called Dr. High Hopes, but even she had her troubles... The nightmares were proof of that...
She almost feels that aside from her, Chris, Jill, Claire, Leon, Barry nobody else survived the horror of Raccoon City and it was the one thing they all shared in common.
Survivor's Guilt...
Suddenly she heard a knock on the door and wondered who it could be at this hour. She threw on her night gown and went down stairs.
She went for the door and opened it. In front of her stood a man. Early 50's athletically built and some grey in his hair. But he was also in pretty bad shape like someone who had just got into a fight.
"I know this is random but I never woulda made it to the hospital." He said with agony in his tone. She could see him holding what looked like a stab wound...
"Damn... Let's get you inside quickly..." She brought him into the house and shut the door and then she laid him on the couch. "lucky for you I have a first aid kit and medical experience." She said.
She ran and got the first aid kit from and came back to him and she said "okay, I'm gonna need you to take off the jacket. Don't worry I'll help you." They slowly got the jacket off together and underneath that she saw something that blew her away in shock... The tattoo on his arm... She had seen it before...
But she maintained herself in order to save his life and she didn't want him bleeding out.
She stitched his wound carefully and once finished, she cleaned the blood off... After she bandaged him up and gave him some painkillers.
She stood up. "There. All done."
"Thank you" he replied. He looked at her staring down at him and he saw her smiling.
"Are you okay...?"
"26 years... It has been 26 years, I thought you were dead..."
"Have we met...?"
"You don't remember me...?"
He stared at her for a moment and then everything clicked into place... His eyes opened wide with shock but he was pleased.
"Rebecca...? Is that you..."
She nodded. Then she kneeled down to give him a hug. And she said
"It's good to see you again Billy..."
And it was then that she realised that someone else made it out of Raccoon City Afterall...
I was looking forward to this without knowing what exactly. I was spot on :-)
There is a note here.
"To stay alive, you must".....(the rest is torn and unreadable).
