Gonna be checking out a new mod in tomorrow's video! It's the best mod I've ever played for Alpha 21 and I think you guys are going to love it! The final video of the Horde Every Night / One Night Stand series will be Tuesday. 1.0 Streamer Weekend starts this weekend (June 21st) so expect a 1.0 feature overview video on Friday. Livestream on Saturday. And a new series starting up on Sunday!
100% agree with all your critiques, whether it's idling around waiting for stuff to craft, or duplicating all the items in the game. Maddening. Glad you're playing it and not me :) However it's still been a fun series to watch.
If you are doing a crafting quest, block all slots in the workbench. When you go back to the bench, what you produce will go directly to your inventory and the quest will be completed.
Yeah, isn’t the trick to put one rock or clay soil in each of the “output” slots? I was going to reply with this last episode, but I watch these on my TV while chilling and figured someone else would have replied w the trick already.
GNR!! For things that you need to craft in the workbench for missions, I used to just fill the output with whatever you can, then when you open the workbench next it will give you the items and say you've crafted them, HOPEFULLY IT STILL WORKS :)
@@GunsNerdsandSteel I remember the work around! If you have that quest specifically tracked it counts workbench crafts iirc. Its a vanilla bug but never an issue in vanilla cause they dont use the same quest features.
The Spas-12 can indeed switch to semiautomatic or pump. The reason is that if you want to use less lethal or some weak ammo you can just pump it manually because less lethal or weaker ammos don't have enough energy to cycle the gun, as you can imagine it has a very heavy and robust bolt thus weaker ammos cannot cycle.
Great job GnS. I love this mod for a ‘not so serious’ modded 7 days experience. Your comments around to much loot is correct. I believe this has been tuned down for v1. I would have loved to see you do one of your wonderful base build creations.
This! You want to be patient, supportive........ Then..... THIS. LOL! (Game Devs, Keep Dev-ing. Modders, Keep Modding! We love what you do, we want to support you. Just.... Listen to your community and if you're doing a gun mod, maybe double check if you have a cousin or something that's a gun nerd.)
Jonathan Ferguson, Keeper of Firearms and Artillery at the Royal Armouries museum in the UK, would need his emotional support MP5 by his side, if he was reacting to the firearms of this game.
I have been replaying Darkness Falls. Still think it is one of the best mods that isn't overly convoluted and it stays difficult enough to stay entertaining, playing through to the end.
That was a classic NEPA base. The Compo pack turned it into a mess (downgrading all the materials and breakinf parts of it) and filling it with dozens of cops, soldiers, dogs and vultures (all rads).
That base is the coolest one ever, glock did a one night stand episode there but like you saw its honestly amazing for a long term base with room for everything you could possibly need, even with the doubled craft stations and vending machines in this mod. Heh, a painkiller or two would have been a great way to get more breathing room than relying on first aid kits to heal over time. That was awesome that you managed to fend them off like that though. I look forward to seeing whatever the next series is.
LOL That HD tesla fence looks like a 3d version of the C&C Red Alert Tesla Tower! If you utilized that pillar design reinforced with fences to prevent them from squeezing in...
The area where you placed the first electric fence posts is a way to get down from the floor above to make access to have a mine without leaving the base .
The Navezgane Environmental Protection Agency spent a load of taxpayer dollars on that building so I felt no shame in making that my base. Really nice place to convert.
really liked the play through on this one. I actually could tell this one challenged you which I know will only result in even better gameplay. great wrap up and can't wait till ya get to start 7 days 1.0
Looks like a fun mod, to a certain point. It certainly won't be for everyone. That premade horde base is a variation on the melee base that works really well in the console version. Good to see it's still decent these days.
Well I only every sold 1 chainsaw and 1 machete so I guess i only missed out on 1 motor tool and 1 machete part. Or do you get more than 1 for scrapping?
@@GunsNerdsandSteel hardest part especially for a group is repair kits in that mod, by day 30 with a friend who isnt using your skills its quiet easy to craft each other specific items needed for those quests. the radiated pois are a huge let down too, he has a long way to go in terms of balancing and poi creation
@bloodraven420 I enjoy it for the most part as well.. the NSFW doesn't bother me but doesn't really add much to this.. the craft instead of gather quests, as Tem pointed out here, is annoying. I do love a lot of things about this mod though. Afterlife is a new mod that was pretty fun, though it changes the building A LOT which may or may not be a good thing to people. It does make it more realistic though.. I love the fact that EVERYTHING is experience based, like skyrim or something. Collective Chaos is another that isn't too bad for a slightly more vanilla playthrough that's adds a lot without changing a lot. Your End is a crazy overhaul that I enjoyed too.. it adds oxygen and a lot of tough enemies and a lot of food stuff.. Hoping we get undead legacy with a22 and a new darkness falls for it too.. I know those mods and even my mod (Rick's Op Super mods and items) will need a lot of changes with these armor changes. Hopefully they don't change too much of the code beyond that, as far as items and armors go
Thank you for this little series in Warezuk, it was very enjoyable and I learned much. The best part is when you learned what bollocks are. 😆 Can't wait to see which mod you're into next, your fave? Cool!
I haven't seen a Pillar50 horde base in years. That's what they used to be called so idk if they changed the shape name. That was the go to setup before all the new shapes were added and cops began to spit. A pit base with pillar50s and a spiked club was so much fun. They did allow them to get through when new shapes were added. It used to be impenetrable. It was one of those changes the community hated because it was a direct result of TFP not liking how easy it made hordes.
Wow, in my playthrough of this mod, granted a version back, that nepa base was absolutely chock full of zombies, I mean like standing room only in most of those rooms. I was shocked when you walked through it with no zombies. The radiated POI's are custom ones and should show up with a box around them on the map.
for your crafting quests, if you fill the output slots where you are crafting then you can complete the craft but the completed item will not go into the output until you make space. That way you can craft things and only pick them up when you are ready and you should get credit that way. I think you used to do this in the War of the walkers play through or maybe it was someone else lol
Its true the spas 12 can be changed between semi and pump action! The functionality is that it was meant as an all around riot/utility shotgun. The pump action was meant for lighter loads like pepper balls, rubber rounds and other less than lethal. And the semi was meant for lethal rounds that could generate enough gas to cycle the action.
If you do the build-a-base for that base with the 1/2 pillars, put a set of bars/railing on the floor and on the 3rd block up, on the inside. It keeps them from squishing through. If you put it on the outside, they go to crawl and just come on in. Or you can do full blocks every other block or so, but they will swarm one spot. Win some, lose some
Just a suggestion but you could craft or place enough stuff to fill the output of any workbench that you need to craft for quest so that it won't finish till you remove one of the things from the output allowing to to craft for quest while out of base
I'm sure someone commented by now but the oil extraction thing, iirc, extracts whatever it's sat on. So if it's on stone it'll give stone, if on oil it'll give oil.
If you don't feel like staring at your crafting stations while they make stuff for the quests then you can just fill up the output slots with something so the crafting timer gets to 0 then then it just sits there till you check in
the spaz 12 if im not mistaken had a slam fire mode, and depending on what states you lived in back before certain regs went into affect, you could put full auto kits on them
FYI if it's shooting pistol rounds 9mm, .45, etc it's qualified as an SMG/PCC it's only an assault rifle if it shoots rifle rounds hence the name. This happens a lot in games where devs don't understand how guns work or are classified. There are weapons that buck this system such as Vintorez/VAL Rifle which are chambered in 9x39mm basically 9mm married to the 7.62x39 cartridge making it inherently subsonic for the integrally suppressed platform.
Yes the SPAS 12 IS duel mode. Regular buckshot has enough gas pressure to cycle through semi auto mode but for special rounds like slugs or breach that don't, you can flip a catch to engage the pump to cycle those.
Fill in the out put slots in with building blocks when crafting things if it requires you to be in it to get credit for your crafting then when you come back to open up what ever your working on it will put it in your inventory and you will get credit for it.
This has some really cool zombie variations, I wish the mod dev would release stand alone zombie packs for vanilla, for those of us who dont want to play a whole overhaul mod...
I really enjoyed this mod when I played it. As you mentioned, the progression is super fast. If the devs of the mod just stretched the progression part and made it a little longer or a bit difficult, that would make the mod even more enjoyable to play and grind. Nevertheless, it’s an amazing mod 100%.
I've used that Nepa base in Darkness Falls before except it was hella infested with rads and nasties, a pain to clear in your first week. It's a good early base once you clear it.
You should make the MD-500. It's a better helicopter than the gyro. You use C and spacebar to tilt the helicopter and W and S for acceleration. Bit of a learning curve, but you don't need a runway to get up in the air
If you craft in a work bench and you don't want to stay in it. Put 1 wood in each slot in the workbench/stove ect. Then when you open the work bench it automatically pops in your inventory.
the horde base you were in used to be a top-tier horde base. but then zombies started squeezing through the gaps and it makes the base very dangerous now (compared to other horde base designs)
the way armor works in this update is that every hit within a few secounds penetrates more armor. So if you have a high enough stat, and the xombies hit you slow enough, they'll never break through.
Lot of people were saying this mod has a balancing issue. It'd be neat if they had made the different climate zones leap in difficulty to match the fast scaling.
I enjoy the tongo mod and playing it as a speed run. Seeing how fast I can earn all the trophies. Makes you take more risks and spend more time out at night.
Assume there are 100 skills, each with 1 point assigned. Each skill thus has 1-in-100 chance. You now add +1 skill point to blades. Now there is a 2-in-101 chance of getting something in the blades tree. These aren't exact numbers, just an example of why putting skill points in blades only doesn't give 100% chance of blades items.
the issue with the vehicles, bike being fastest is that expanded character inventory. makes the vehicle inventory much less important so speed tends to win over storage capacity which is what they higher tier vehicles provided. even getting the drone in vanilla tends to push me towards speed/maneuverability over capacity or 'higher tier'. motorcycle tends to do it all, personal pref. yeah in some mods bicycle can be faster, cheaper, etc. i just don't want to be peddling in the apocalypse :p.
If you place a building cube in each slot in the output area of a work bench or cooking station it will finish but won't have room so once u remove a building cube you'll get credit
This mod was in a much better place before they changed the loot to be based on your stat point placement, but now with the way loot/skill points affect loot it really messed things up. But that said the mod has never been perfect but it does allow you to do alot of cool things that you wont see anywhere else
There are radiated POIs. I found one while I was playing and it ripped through my health so quickly. I will have to check back on that POI once I have a hazmat suit. I found it in the forest biome, so maybe it only spawns there, idk
Nice Video, The only thing is that the horde gets much worse when you go into other Biomes. instead of having 3-4 mini demos in the horde, you get a constant stream of mini demos and demo. There is no time when there are no demos. I think the hazmat suit is for when you get constant zombies that does radiated damage. I wonder what Next mod you will be trying
yea , some of the overhaul mods make things way to complicated like when you played the Undead Legacy mod. it wasn't as bad as War3zuk but still the extra grind that some of them add just kills the fun.
I've enjoyed this mod over all but there a few things that bug the crap out of me and that's crafting for a quest and having to keep yourself in the bench to get credit for it. The other thing is all the hd and regular stuff, irks the crap out of me because it's just too damn many benches :D
An AK firing 1911 food would be a pretty weird full rebuild, like.. everything would need to be machined from scratch because nothing would scale correctly. Hrngh.
know I'm way late but Vanila crafting doesn't give credit unless you're in the thing. I had a challenge with my friends with a mod that you can only get xp from upgrades/crafting it was fun but having to be in the bench was way boring. there is probably a mod that fixes the problem
SPAS-12 is an acronym. Special-Purpose Automatic Shotgun - 12 gauge. In the US, they were changed to Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun, to appeal to sportsmen, but the assholes in DC still banned them back in the 1990s because we aren't allowed to have anything cool. Thankfully the ban sunset federally in 2004 and is no longer enforced, but a few states enforce it on their end. Mine doesn't, but as much as I'd like to have one they're VERY expensive. Like, $5k expensive. One of these days, though. One of these days.
Nice playthrough... your average dying number is a bit higher (some of those were on you, though), but great nonetheless. Made me go back to War3uk for another go while waiting for the 1.0. I have a question: most of your series you listed all of the mods you used, but here you just listed the main mod... I see you use SMX UI, but I can't find other ones; some POIs from the map are missing, zombie ranged attacks, NPCs and others. Would you be so kind and give us the list of the mods in this series?
A great way to end the run. I cannot say that I am a great fan of the WarezUK mod. The edginess and difficulty scaling does not work for me. But not all overhaul mods are intended for everyone. So having the option of adding stuff to your game is never a bad ting. I might be showing my age here, but I recall a time when searching for "Warez" lead you to the parts of the internet where eyepatches and peglegs are in fashion
I love this mod but one thing I HATE about it is that you have to have your face in the workbench to get credit for crafting something just as you say. But, sometimes i just go and watch someone play 7d2d on uboob for a time. So there is that.
2:15 What!? AK on .45 cal? This mod... first potatoes on surface (poisonous) and now assault rifle loaded with pistol round (assault rifles use hybrids between pistol and rifle rounds, that's kinda their main thing going, same caliber as rifle, but less punch, just like in pistol)
Hi guns , yes it's true, that's why i love that Shotgun You can switch between semi-auto and pump action Which really cool My other favourite shotguns are DP-12, AA-12 , KS-23 and Vepr shotgun
@@GunsNerdsandSteel I don't know, maybe because to make it easier to fire without pumping the shotgun Like for CQC or for faster shooting And I kinda why most pump shotguns fall from my eyes , because of the pump mechanic
@@GunsNerdsandSteel ok I think this will interest you I checked Google These twos things ,one about the spas It's says "The SPAS-12 was designed to function primarily in semi-automatic mode, with the pump-action mode used to reliably fire low-pressure ammunition such as tear gas rounds or less-lethal bean bags" While the other talks about all semi-auto shotgun It's says " Pump-action shotguns offer reliability and versatility, making them dependable for various applications. On the other hand, semi-automatic shotguns provide faster follow-up shots and increased magazine capacity, making them well-suited for quick target engagement."

the issue with the vehicles, bike being fastest is that expanded character inventory. makes the vehicle inventory much less important so speed tends to win over storage capacity which is what they higher tier vehicles provided. even getting the drone in vanilla tends to push me towards speed/maneuverability over capacity or 'higher tier'. motorcycle tends to do it all, personal pref. yeah in some mods bicycle can be faster, cheaper, etc. i just don't want to be peddling in the apocalypse :p.
If you place a building cube in each slot in the output area of a work bench or cooking station it will finish but won't have room so once u remove a building cube you'll get credit
25:56 this looks like a very fun base for a party.
I don't care about 1.0, I'm gonna be playing war3zuk! Loving these videos
This mod was in a much better place before they changed the loot to be based on your stat point placement, but now with the way loot/skill points affect loot it really messed things up. But that said the mod has never been perfect but it does allow you to do alot of cool things that you wont see anywhere else
The spas is a semiauto shotgun capable of pump action for less powerful ammo
I wonder how strong the hd junk turrets and hd base defense electricals are. Great episode
I think this POI has been around since A14/15 days. I remember pillar bases were the meta before the killing corridor days
That was fucking awesome. For a second there I thought you weren’t gonna make it. 💯💯💯
There are radiated POIs. I found one while I was playing and it ripped through my health so quickly. I will have to check back on that POI once I have a hazmat suit. I found it in the forest biome, so maybe it only spawns there, idk
Thanks for trying this mod, the "baby boomers" are my favourite! Thanks for the entertainment!
Block the output quests. Then you can collect quest production when ready
Ooh I caught ya fairly early this time. Loving your videos so far!
yea , some of the overhaul mods make things way to complicated like when you played the Undead Legacy mod. it wasn't as bad as War3zuk but still the extra grind that some of them add just kills the fun.
yeah only thing I've seen take pistol calibers like that is a PCC - Pistol Caliber Carbine, which are typically like an SMG...
Ruger and keltec make great pcc's
I've seen that horde base before. Either Genosis or Glock used it.
Hrngh.
check the tool tip when you join the game 4/8 its talking about the radiated poi
know I'm way late but Vanila crafting doesn't give credit unless you're in the thing.
You don’t find them fun? I love the onslaught. Great challenge.
Thats nepa base reminds of the a16 style horde bases
Shotgun op, just wait for minigun
IMO loot is generated when you break open the box/safe/container, thats why you werent seen any difference.
Hope you'd consider trying Darkness Falls Hell on Earth difficulty.
Hi guns , yes it's true, that's why i love that Shotgun
You can switch between semi-auto and pump action
Which really cool
My other favourite shotguns are DP-12, AA-12 , KS-23 and Vepr shotgun
Nice, thanks for letting me know - although I'm unsure why you would want to switch, any ideas?
@@GunsNerdsandSteel I don't know, maybe because to make it easier to fire without pumping the shotgun
Like for CQC or for faster shooting
And I kinda why most pump shotguns fall from my eyes , because of the pump mechanic
@@GunsNerdsandSteel ok I think this will interest you
I checked Google
These twos things ,one about the spas
It's says "The SPAS-12 was designed to function primarily in semi-automatic mode, with the pump-action mode used to reliably fire low-pressure ammunition such as tear gas rounds or less-lethal bean bags"
While the other talks about all semi-auto shotgun
It's says " Pump-action shotguns offer reliability and versatility, making them dependable for various applications. On the other hand, semi-automatic shotguns provide faster follow-up shots and increased magazine capacity, making them well-suited for quick target engagement."
The original Jurassic Park had the SPAS12 in it too, it's what the hunter guy was holding when he got eaten by the raptors amongst other scenes.
Oh.. yay... my worst nightmare... in a cave lol 😂😂😂
theres a turbo mod for minibike and others that makes it lightning quick. imma say it then see you finally find it
45acp is a pistol round so that would make it a sub machine gun not assault rifle.
That was my thinking too
@@GunsNerdsandSteel if they wanted a 45 cal machine gun they should have used 45-70, that is one you don't see every day
Thompson is a 45 acp altho it isnt a assault rifle, but ya if you put the drum under it kinda auto rifle :P
