Our EXPECTATIONS are "Killing" us Spiritually

EXPECTATIONS… It’s where most DISAPPOINTMENT starts!

Our hopes, dreams must be CRUCIFIED:
Psalms 37:4-9 (KJV) 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:
fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off:
but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV) 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
The Lord reminded us on Wednesday night that we MUST come to the “end of ourselves” in this regard… that we MUST have our joy, peace, and contentment tied ONLY to Him and NOTHING of this world, or our natural circumstances, because IF we do, then DISAPPOINT is sure to follow.
And from Disappointment, the enemy works… works to bring discouragement, despair, and frustration …
And from those things, IF we allow them in, then he (Satan) tries to bring about anger, resentment and bitterness
