Unreal! This is the best sounding acoustic drum emulation I've heard yet. I wonder if there will more sound updates in the future.

I owned the Efnote 5 for a week, and let me say, top notch build quality. Best triggering I’ve ever played (and I currently own a VAD506) and the optic hi-hat absolutely is the best hi-hat pad I’ve used (haven’t tried the new digital one from Roland).
It’s also the best sounding pure drum sound module I’ve played, it’ll do more than enough for most people.
Only reason I returned it was the the kits are too mellow for heavy music. They really need to get at least one good heavy set in there, even with eqing I couldn’t get it to cut through the distorted guitars.
With that said: If you pay any other genre efnote could very well be the new king.

      Thanks for this comment,
Buying my first electric drum kit and was little torn between an efnote 3 and TD17KVX.
With my style it sounds like I should go with the TD17KVX

I did play both side by side a few weeks ago and the efnote was great quality,

You should've kept it an just gotten drum software. They go on sale often. I got SSD 5.5 for $50. If I'm playing heavier music, i hook it up.

@@mattdrewdrums Yeah it's probably better to have a optimal hardware and make further edits in software. I'm very interested in the EFD5, although the EFD3 offers more cymbals and toms to start, but I don't see that being able to use a double pedal so I'm likely eyeing the 5...

I own the efnote 5 and am very happy with it. Looking forward to more software and library updates. I wish it could record aux and drums simultaneously tho

Easy to fix the rim+tom cons: multi layer of the module where you can customize the sound to add more or less rim to the main tom sound.

Thanks for the review, really helpful! I really love this set, the only thing that bothers me is the size of the kick, it looks a bit silly especially if the tom is mounted a bit higher :D
A 20 inch one would have looked way more badass

What is difference between the 5 and 5X module? Are the sounds and features the exact same?

I want to buy a piano but I am in a difficult decision. I'm between the Yamaha P45 piano, Roland Go piano 88, the Yamaha p121 or the Yamaha np32 Which of the 3 is better or do you recommend me the most?

    • @bettermusic
      @bettermusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

As this is a drum video you probably won't find much advice on keyboards, though imo the P45 is pretty great ;)

@@bettermusic Thank you very much and I'm really sorry to comment on a drum video, sometimes one comments on videos that are totally dedicated to pianos and you don't answer, that led me to always look for the most recent video, comment and have a better chance of being answered (I'm not saying that you, but it usually happens on other channels) I'm really sorry and thank you very much :)

4111,98 euro for this kit is way too much I think the price will be the key factor for the succes of this electronic drumkit.

With a 20" bass drum it would be perfect. That little one ruins the look. Especially with full size cymbals.
