A reformation in child training must speedily be undertaken by God's remnant people. Preparing children for these terrible last days must be done in an extraordinary way. Now is neither the time for frightening nor for pampering as Eli did. A sensible, sober, and intentional training must be done however. Read about how the Waldenses trained their children to survive in their crucibles of the early Dark Ages in Chapter 4 of the Great Controversy. These godly, devoted and faithful to God people can teach us much. Thank the Kind Heavenly Father for giving us their teaching by example.
Always a blessing to tune in to 3ABN Sabbath School lesson study... Eli being a priest and his son's not knowing God being scoundrels is a reflection on Eli don't parenting effectively, sadly that goes the same for a lot of parents down through the ages. A child who grows up in a environment where they do whatever, who are NOT made to be accountable, do not respect nor honor the discipline of their parents will no doubt be like Hophni and Phineas. These boys wreaked havoc on the young ladies in the communities and in the church. They had NO respect for their father, they didn't take him serious, they were too used to having their own way. Which no respect for their parent, it's only natural they would have no respect for God. Through my daughter's growing years, I purposed in my heart that I would rather my child be mad at me, rather than God be disappointed in me not obeying His word. The bible tells us TO TRAIN UP A CHILD, in the way they should go. Sadly many kids are abused instead of being disciplined. What a sad legacy for Eli and many others whose lack of discipline cause failure for their children. THIS QUARTER'S LESSON IS APPLICABLE AND RELEVANT. Perfect lessons in these times,, for growing, waiting and drawing closer to Jesus. God be praised. God's continued guidance, protection and blessings to ALL members of the panel, their families, homes and ministries. WE SERVE AN AWESOME GOD, I PRAY ALL WHO HAVE STRAYED FROM HIM, WILL FIND THEIRNWAY BACK HOME. I too had my time away from God, praise God He never gave up on me. He won’t give up on you either.
