Nice! Reminded me about my trip to Melbourne. Also with United, and also MEL to LAX, then transferring to JFK. It was back in 2012 and we were on B747. Plus we had a stop in Sydney to transfer to another United jumbo jet. Oh boy, that flight was so long, but I enjoyed every moment of it. Especially complementary sandwiches and wine available throughout the whole flight in the rear galley.
I have the same feelings about the bulkhead seats. The seats themselves always seem less comfortable - with the somewhat awkward tray tables and TV’s. Easier to get in and out and little more private, but the inability to straighten the knees is very tough on older tall fellows like myself. I suppose travel involves a number of trade-offs if one is not wealthy. Having status to get into airport lounges is a major bonus. I always enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much for your review. I booked the exactly same seat for for an international 14 hours travel. I paid 1000 dollars more for me and my daughter and was wondering if it's worth money. Seeing your video made me feel relieved. It looks very comfortable.
yes it was worth it for the extra legroom wet got, it was a long flight. But notice that the extra legroom is the only thing you get, everything else is like in normal economy class
