Martirio by The Warning (English Lyrics):
Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see
You choked with your own hands
When everything points that finally someone will rescue you
    You find yourself abandoned again
Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment)
It's your destiny, give in (surrender)
You try to find an explanation in the deepest of your being and you fall into the void (emptiness) again
At last you realize in secret that the pain will stay, it will be your new life of martyrdom
There's no turning back, you can't escape from the fire at your feet
And in the darkness, you'll get lost (you will lose yourself)
Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment)
It's your destiny, give in (surrender)
Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see
Drown yourself in your martyrdom (torment)
It's your destiny, give in (surrender)
Learn from the ones who suffered
If you have to live in fear, it's best to die at the hands of a goodbye
To your sad life, foolish martyr, say goodbye

the covering over the building frame was not supposed to be shredded but the winds had other ideas so DPA/TW and the team decided not to fight it... it makes for a nice atmosphere and works pretty well for this OMV...
this is not the first time they've had to deal with the winds, either... one or two of their other MVs that were shot outside were also on windy days... their Foo Fighters cover of *The Pretender* comes to mind... there were also comments about how the blowing sand stung and caused them to feel like they had a sunburn... they did a great and professional job, that's for sure 😹

Pau plays with 2 rack toms 99% of the time. They rented this kit for the video but only sourced a single rack tom. Doesnt play too much of a part in this song. 😊

Geeez - you have to see AND HEAR this live. Don't you know that "The Warning" IS a live band? Listen to the live concert at CDMX which does have a pretty good sound quality - additionally you have a full view on Pau hitting the drums (and Dany and Ale too) ...
And as most posters here allready said: It's a masterpiece - an anthem! One day they will play it in a stadium ... And they WILL rock this there as well as they did in EVERY live concert.

Came here to say this. If they played it at Teatro, react to that video, not an official one. You get better sound, and you actually get to see her play the drums.
Also, the live videos are less likely to get slapped for copyright.

They have a formidable innate talent, each one of them. Innate but with practice taken to the sublime.
Despite their youth, they already have a lot of experience on their path in addition to their great preparation since they were children.
Their attitude, discipline and will to achieve their goals are leading them to great, well-deserved achievements.
    Daniela, Paulina y Alejandra…
They are still on the road to the top, but with too much potential, enough to think it will be inevitable.
Furthermore, the volume of quality that each of their creations implies is great… and the number of songs that carry said quality is enormous, which for me could be “The Warning label”.
I’m sure that each of their creations is subjected to a meticulous quality process before finally seeing the light…
And not only in the technical aspect, but we have also already proven that they have an exquisite taste for good music that emanates from them when they become inspired and creative.
Added to all this is that they are surrounded by an excellent family and fraternal team totally committed to their project…
And they have a fan base, “The Warning Army”, tremendously loyal to them that is decisively involved in supporting them because they have deservedly earned it for being incredible and surprising human beings.
Knowing this will give you a much better perspective to better value Dany, Pau and Ale, and maybe you will understand that TW is not just a band of talented girls who make good songs…
No, it's about music, really art with the brilliance of a "masterpiece" created and performed by three genius performers from an early age who have been developing and evolving by leaps and bounds.
The beauty of their art lies in its simplicity.
Each of these amazing rock masterpieces must be appreciated in all its dimensions and then be surprised again that they are creations of those who have wonderful talent but who, due to their age, still have much more talent to develop.
They are already admirable but their potential increases exponentially as they achieve success.
As long as all this continues to flow with this equation they will soon reach the top of the world where they deserve to be.
We're always looking for more from our favorite band of all time.
Thanks and regards from México!! 🇲🇽
    🤘😁✌️

What! no mention of Ale's bass part right out of the guitar solo? You know that it is OK to talk the other instruments too, right? HEHE! 😜
Also both Dany and Ale have done videos showing their live setup for a channel called Digital Tour Bus, so hoping that Pau also did one and keeping an eye out for it. Would love to see you react to it if it does come out. 😀

This video was shot in the Icamole Desert north of Monterrey, Mexico. The women are DPA, their mom, a cousin and a friend. When they returned home they were covered in sand and dust. The hadn’t considered the wind which ripped the cloth on the house. Pau plays DW drums, Sabian cymbals, and Remo skins. Martirio = martyrdom. The song is about calling out someone who lives their life as a martyr (victim).
Sometimes the obvious things are the most difficult to see
You choked with your own hands
When everything points that finally someone will rescue you
    You find yourself abandoned again

I'm a Canadian bass player and sound engineer. I watch your channel to learn about drumming. I don't mind the starts and stops if they improve my understanding. In this song, you didn't really address the little tom patterns that Pau plays between section patterns or her overall approach to the song. As for rock stances, I suggest that you leave those to the guitar, bass and stage presence reactors. The best videos to see Pau's playing are the Paucam videos where you'll see things like Pau playing her floor toms with her left hand while riding with her right hand. Second best are the Teatro Metropolitan videos, which are like highlight reels, showing exceptional playing and singing. As for complaining that you don't understand about "foreign" languages, a.) for drum interpretation - who cares, and b.) it's disrespectful (much different tone than, "I don't speak Spanish, can you help me out?"). Depending where you live, I recommend that you get out and see The Warning. My wife, a singer with substantial technical chops, was Warned when she accompanied me to The Warning's most recent Toronto show. In particular, she understood that Pau is a monster who lights up the stage with her presence, singing and playing. I'll add that my wife has seen The Who, Deep Purple, Adele and others, so she knows some things. For your channel, maybe you can pick a drummer, e.g., Pau, and feature her work in several videos. The drummers in Lovebites and Band Maid are also excellent in their own ways. Here's a Pau Cam (the reactor Strongdad fixed the original, which was left/right reversed): th-cam.com/video/PYPhCU3fehc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9OscDC3lVQpb8tB5 Besides her playing, it shows Pau singing lead, her visual communication with the bass player, her posture, her "pause" position for her left arm (is that normal?) and we can hear the bass playing slightly behind the beat in the first song. To see Pau's operation of the Ableton interface, but less clear about the singing: th-cam.com/video/iaEZqk3uSn0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gbvbw9WNsNyfnbsP&t=300. Since some parts of this is what many modern top drummers do, I suggest that you get into it at a level beyond my basic understanding. Cheers.

Nice reaction,I like your explanation of simple, not a lack of talent for sure. Pau is very strategic in her playing which is more difficult than learning some complicated groove. None of them try to over complicate a song But instead make it very full. That’s why they have such a tight uniform sound not just one instrument or voice blaring, such a nice blend, I love their sound. It’s speaks to me even though I don’t understand the language.

Because if all you are interested in is the "technical" aspects of a song instead of the overall "feel" ... and the song has a deep "feel" to it when played live ... then any recording will do as long as it is clean and clear.

@@NoSmokingDogs Except with the live video, he can also see what she is doing. There are only 3 of them on stage, so Pau gets a good amount of screen time. I am sure he would have had something to say at about the 3/4 mark of the video when she was playing her floor toms with her left hand because her right was busy with the cymbal.
He can also get a better look at her rig as he still seems to be nailing down what she is using.
