Positioning is very important in this game. You must not just stand on a point, but undercut players who are running on horseback towards you, ambush them.
In addition to this, it is important to procure items wisely. Read the item descriptions. You can't buy a bulldozer against players who don't have devices to destroy. This way you waste money for nothing and give the player a chance to become stronger than you
