I hate the things our mothers had to endure back in the days, but all we can do is to make sure we don’t carry on those traditions to our own children. I know I won’t, and I thank god my father also didn’t treat me this way. I’m also thankful that I married a man who cherishes his little princesses.

As a daughter my heart breaks every single time I hear these stories of how our hmong women are mistreated because of our culture. I can't imagine the pain and suffering they have to endure. The betrayal of the people who they look to for protection is truly sad and unforgivable. I hope this aunty and all those who have walked the same path find happiness and love that they deserve for the remainder of their life ♥️ thank you for sharing your story. I hate the way Hmong women are treated in the old country. Even in America, some Hmong families are so traditional they don't value Hmong women. I have to say I am proud of this woman. She has more balls than the jerk and her father. She gave birth alone and raise her son alone. Thanks for being another brave woman.
Thank you for sharing your story about being a hmong lady. I'm so sorry you had go through all of this. I believe that we are changing our ways of how we treat our daughters, our hmong women. But, it is still a slow change. Like you said, that change will come when the older generation died off. I am so proud of you for being able to carry on with your burden. I am sad that your family did not support you even your mom. I am so happy you stood by your son until he is big enough to help him set before you chose marriage and what a fine son you have. Now you even have a loving husband to count on. Yes I agree with you, if my daughter is pregnant with out a husband, I will support her and allow her to have the baby. I commend you for sharing your embarrassing story.

So sorry for the old Hmong tradition,,I think it's very dumb. And I never like the Hmong culture or the Hmong people. How they treated their daughter. But I'm glad that we're in the USA.. there's law. Thank GOD for that...I'm living in the USA too, and I want grand kids, but my children don't want to have children yet...but if my daughter do have baby I wouldn't have no regrets I would take the child and care for....I wouldn't do what the old school Hmong does...
