Henry County History Museum - Clinton Missouri Museum - Small Town Museum Tour

- Join me today as I tour the Henry County History Museum in Clinton Missouri a pretty cool small town museum. I had a unique experience here. I was first told no videos but later found out the new docent was incorrect 🤦🏻♂️ I ended up getting two tours of the museum the second one is the one I filmed. In that one I got a much more thorough tour including a building that was not in the original tour. Plus a sneak peek at the upstairs, cool. This tour was in a different order than you would normally get. I keep that different order for the video because why not 🤪 Your tour will be different in person. The staff was super friendly and stayed late so I could finish filming 👍 This was a cool museum it included a 1900’s Village a agricultural and industrial section plus a war room and a 50’s kitchen and so much local history here. These small town museums are the best.

Again we are exploring a city and museum that i will probably never seen in my lifetime. I saw that x-ray machine, and wow they have a city named Nevada in Missouri. Lot's of antiques that show how life was ,many many decades ago.

It's amazing the way we used to live is now a museum piece ...and yes we had a tiny CRT TV..,we enjoyed Star Trek in glorious Black and White..

It is fun to imagine what it was like back in different eras ,but I have to think it was hard and good in every era. It is also interesting that all the old school houses reallt seemed to emphasize Lincoln

What a neat museum, Brian, with so many interesting and rare artifacts. We enjoyed coming along for the tour. I have used that type of push lawnmower when I was a kid. Child labor was cheap! 🤣🤣 Jane looked familiar, but I couldn't have recalled where from either. There's still what they call "compounding pharmacies" who mix very rare prescriptions. But, as you say most are mixed right at the factory. Most are legit, but some got caught up with the profits illicit athletic steroid use brought! Leads the athlete to the "hand basket" sooner. Fun tour. It's great that it was uncrowded so you could have the young lady follow you around with all the info! I have the utmost respect for those who volunteer their time to keep history alive.
Yep 👍 I've been a victim of child labor 😂 My second tour was with the head person of the museum. I told her I would try to go quick so we would be done by closings. She did care and told me not to worry about it. We missed closing by a half hour 🤪 Thanks for watching 😎

That cabin was cool and pretty smart splitting it up. You have gone to so many tractor shows you now know the parts. Melissa would that healer contraption. Crazy that those law books is for decoration now a days. Fun tour.

Wow, I’ve never seen them change their mind on allowing filming. Now that was a n old school vacuum. Why didn’t you tell us what the glass pitcher was for 🤣
This was the weirdest visit 🤪 she said no videos. I asked if I could film and just not say where I was at. That worked. Then when we finished the tour the old director came outside and said I got the keys (to the log cabin and school house). She said the new director was wrong and I could film. She was excited to have me film and gave me an even better tour. I got to see rooms I missed on the first tour.
