I went holmfirth yesterday to see Nora's house. Lovely town. Unfortunately I didn't go on the highly recommended tour bus. Just didn't have the time. We had a coffee at Sids Cafe. We didn't go to Cleggys house as it was 2 miles walk from the town (according to google anyway), gutted about that bit but we did see his house on the way out, going home. We went to the Crem where Compo is buried, it was so touching to see that Cleggy is buried there next to him. I loved and still love this show. It's heartbreaking to know they've all past on now. We were blessed to have them on our screens. My personal favourites were Foggy and Dame Thora. Thanks for the video
Times might change , ....but memories last a lifetime,...a much loved and ..cherished comedy that I remember with a warmth and charm that remains within my heart to this day....comedy gold
As soon as I hear this music it makes me smile. They don't make them like this anymore. Who remembers Crusher Milburn AKA Jonathan Lynsley? He's a lovely man in real life, a true gentleman and if you ever read this Jonathan, I'm sending love. Angela (Ex section 5) ❤ 🤗
I’ve been in the cafe, it confuses you because the internal scenes were filmed in a studio, miles away, also Bill Owen used to stay in Holmefirth, and people wouldn’t recognise him in the street because he was such a smart dressed man….
Yes I felt the same in there! But towards the end when bill Owen was ill they did actually use the interior of the cafe. I'll be doing a short video on this 😊
We visited holmfirth our video includes all the local area completely different shoot to yours, Good location shoot but please upgrade the recording equipment it was hard to watch as judders and no stabilisation you need 4k 120 frames to make it fluid, also use a wide angle lens loved the poem at the end.
@@JollyGoodEntertainment as a fan of the last of the summer wine I find this video brilliant such great memories to such a iconic sitcom and the scenery of holmfirth very good indeed thumbs up 👍

Hoping to return soon, I filmed this many years ago! My camera work is a lot less shaky these days 😂
That is good that you used the theme tune uninterrupted on your vIdeo there.
Lovely video thank you
Comedy at its best.
Was expecting to see Milburn in the cafe ..😂😂😂 ❤

Would've been nice if you could have spelt "memories" properly instead of "memorys". Typical comprehensive school teaching!
Thanks for pointing that out, I made this video many many years ago! Have a good day 😊
