I've always considered myself a huge gamer, i've spent years studying art so i can be a part of video game creation, but these people, the people who are up day and night, putting their blood, sweat and tears into a costume just to wear for a couple of hours, the people who get burns on their fingers from gluing fabric together and wiring LEDs for shepard helmet, who get cuts from working with tiny bits of metal, but use it to make their character more believable are what really encapsulate gaming as a culture. also I'm pretty sure the girl at 1:04 has real blood on her face, jus' sayin'
I thoroughly enjoy watching this videos and seeing the diverseness of reasons why people play or cosplay; it is inspiring to watch. My older brother used to cosplay and watching the evolution of his costumes was very interesting. From simple clothing and make-up that took minutes to put together to the very intricate and detailed weapons and clothing that would take months to put together. I have untold respect for those who cosplay and could see myself picking up the mantle and doing it one day. :) Thank you for bring cosplay to the light like this, it is a world of amazingness that aught to be shared! :)
2:24 damn that's a great Garrus! That aside these people sure must spend some serious time to make their costumes. These are excellent! But really, in spite of some of Bioware's issues in working their way through the two series they have managed to create absolutely amazing games to immerse yourself in.
Dragon age(ive never played ME but ive heard its just a time difference) Is so damn good because you choose what happens with your companions who you need, Who you dont need, who you like, who you dont like , and also its allows you to change some character story
This was actually really beautiful video, I love mass effect and dragon age. I'm doing my first cosplay in couple of months and I'm going as kasumi goto (from mass effect).
This is such a beautiful video!!!!!! I love what the woman at 1:45 said because there's barely any video games that have People Of Color, Women and LGBT characters as the protagonist and most video games are full of cis white straight men but in video games like Mass Effect and and Dragon Age you can play as whoever you want to be!!! :)
I like playing as my self in games. There are lots of game where you play as someone else, but it's not the same as playing as your self. That is one reason why Link in legend of zelda is mute is because nintendo said, he wanted the character to be the player, and they direct him, this is a same thing, like said in this. This also reason why I get little concerned when someone I am with, personality attached to in real life, get little too obsessed or too attached to there custom "opposite gender" character... they end up being too attached to them and then it starts eating away at spending time in game with them and makes me uncomfort. It's not the game, but the person isn't understand that, now I am the underdog. Those kind of people end up ruining the customization aspect of gaming, which is something I love. I love to bring my self into a game, some of these abuse and perverted types destroys that.
You should do a special on monster hunter cosplayers. many fans of the game have made their favorite armors and weapons throughout the game's many generations of the series
...Was that Rana McAnear as Morinth? AKA Samara/Morinth's actual face model? Because I knew she had a rockin' Samara cosplay, but I didn't know she also did Morinth.
Cosplay Boom I would love to get into cosplay. but here in new Zealand there is a distinct lack of cons like the one this was recorded at. we only have Armageddon once every year and that's it.
Whenever I see a Shepard or Warden that isn't mine, I think that it's wrong, which means BioWare did something very right.

Loved this comment!
***** I've considered it, but i live Wales, not a popular cosplaying area.
***** hm, i'll think about it. might begin with MCM next year and take it from there, thanks :)

She was the face model for both :)
Wow, that was inspiring :)
It should've come as no surprise, but somehow I didn't expect DA and ME to have such a big LGBT following.
This video has some audio level issues, sometimes it is too low. Otherwise, enjoyed it :)
Love your videos, although you got my name wrong. I really hope you hit 1k in monthly pledges soon.
OH NO! We will have it fixed by next episode, we are so sorry!
No problem, what so ever. Looking forward to your next video.
