I grew up in Cleveland Ohio where I believe was the Hells Angels open maybe their third chapter with trying to get a foothold in the Midwest of America. I was born in 1967 so I grew as a kid during the HA's most incredible heydays and historic time's like the Polish women's Hall just to name a few. I think I'm pretty sure but the Cleveland chapter was known as the "Dirty 30" and they lived up to their name and reputation but I remember those guys as a house hold name and they would help everyone in our community and you couldn't find one person in this town to say even one thing bad about those boys ,if anything they would say remarkably nothing but good about the club. They were actually kinda of seen as our heroes and protectors, they were definitely our Angels just not from heaven??? When us kids were playing out in street all together I can remember when Ray, Tommy,Butch or any of those guys were coming down the street on their Bikes you would hear them way before you seen them and all the kids would get so excited and try to chase them on their bicycles or what not just because they were basically celebrities in our town and most of us looked up to them and wanted to be just like them!!! Even our senior citizens always smiled and waved to them. I couldn't imagine growing up in Cleveland without the Hells Angels around, I swear I thought every city had the Hells Angels!!!
