OMG DG I'M GLAD YOU'RE BACK. I wish you would see this. The guy is telling her that "You always wanted too much from me." after he said that, Bibi got furious hence the part where her head is like on fire. In the end all she ever wanted from him was his heart and sweet, gentle love (which the sweet chestnut bean jelly represents) but she ended up not telling him because he already made his mind to leave her. The mouse saw what happened and went to the witch for help. The snack that bibi ate at the end is the sweet chestnut bean jelly which is the song title, the witch helped her make it. She thought she was just dreaming about it but when she saw the snack she ate it and realized that it's not a dream after all.
Now there's captions for the video and I gotta say the lyrics and the "musical theatre" quality of the MV is hilarious and emotional. BIBI always surprises, and her versatility is something to behold. What an artist she is.
I liked that this vibe, tone and visuals really reminded me of a live-action Miyazaki film (like Howl’s Moving Castle or Spirited Away).
Also, I think she wasn’t putting a curse on him, the spell was to forget him and be happy. I like that this actually depicts a normal sad breakup, but not a crazy abusive toxic one this time.
I think reading the darker emotions and plot into it is a result of being conditioned by Lowlife Princess to expect that :) That’s one of my favorite albums of all time, period… but I like that she can also express less dark themes and hopefully indicates she’s in a somewhat better place now.
P.S. the mouse was ok, Witch Bibi scolded Bibi when she tried to drop her familiar in the pot 😂
The English lyrics are up, and Bam Yang Gang is a sweet chestnut jelly. That also might be what the bar was at the end.
I just watched it with lyrics so they're there now. What the guy says, and is repeated in the song, "You always want too much." She replies, "Okay, sorry."
It's a cute and light sounding song which is why it's not one I'd see out to listen to, but maybe it'll grow on me as I watch reactions. The video is so well done.
this song is written and composed by chang ki ha who is the guy u saw at the start of the video, he makes such peculiar songs that i knew it was his song as soon as i saw him in the mv ahahhahah, i wish he was more famous in the west because of his songs and not because he is IU's ex
Cant help it but to relate this song with his past. IU have songs relate to her love n breakup stories too. I recall `through the night' when she start fall in love and her insomnia period of time and `ending scene' the breakup song..can review the mv too..seems relatable
