I used to drive past Urquhart Castle every day for work, I lived in Fort Augustus, just up the road. Lovely video. it's unfortunate about the rain. Although it does keep Scotland green, and our lochs full 🙂
Lovely video. I grew up about half a mile from Bothwell Castle where we used to play as children. I also used to live on the Rosneath Peninsula where your first B&B was. I now live up at the head of Loch Long about 10 miles further up the road from where the aircraft carrier was. I recently took my son for a break in Fort William where we also went to Mallaig (you pronounce the ‘a’ as in America) and took the Gondola up Aonach Mor - your kids would have loved that. I’ve been to Sky many times. Uig is pronounced ‘oo-igg’. The ‘a’ in Jacobite is also pronounced as in the word ‘America’. I have to say that Aberdeen is not one of my favourite places but you were spoiled by our beautiful West Coast scenery before you went there 😂 Edinburgh is pronounced ‘Edin-burrah’. I am glad that you enjoyed your holiday. Haste ye back. You might find some inspiration for things to do and places to see here in Argyll in a few of my own videos (they’re not nearly as well made as yours). 😊
While rain isn’t always best ( we do need it ) it allows you to see waterfalls , fyi Loch Ness holds more water than all the lakes in England and wales put together ❤️🏴
Well after watching your families adventure through this country I call home, It gives me a sense of pride. That other people from around the world can see and enjoy the beauty in this land. I hope you all enjoy your stay. And y’all come back now you hear…🫡🤷🏻♂️🏴🇺🇸
@@brentstutzman Most Scots take what they have for granted. I was brought up by parents that made me appreciate the land And its history. I’ve walking all over it many times. Just watching your video brought back a lot of memories. Good times…🫡🤷🏻♂️🏴🇺🇸

Glad you enjoyed your trip and hopefully you'll be back? I got all excited because unfortunately There are three Costco in Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
😁 I think we pronounced it both ways in the video! Absolutely loved the stadium visit. And saw that we have an American on the team... except just he scored an own-goal today :-(
19.00 if you had tried a church on the islands you would have experienced “ The Wee Free “ church , a different more observant religious community . They speak Gaelic and English and on a Sunday many of the islanders will do nothing , closed shops no use of electricity everything needed would be prepared the day before . And a visit from the minister if you did not manage to attend . Most likely illness would be the only thing stopping a parishioner 🤗🤗❤️🏴
Americans crack me up with their castle obsession. Went to the dentist this morning where I parked in front of ancient castle ruins in my town where Mary Queen of Scots spent a summer in the 1500s and I don’t even give it a second glance. I guess when you grow up here and they’re everywhere, you don’t even take notice of them.
Nothing bad meant. Just saying. I would not have been that comfortable being that close. I'm scottish from troon a few miles down the coast. I'm a truck driver and have delivered to the naval base at faslane and even glen mallan dock where u seen the carrier. I was delivering items for the construction of the Dock. However coulport I've never been in and not sure I want to either lol. Hope you enjoyed ur stay and hope u visit again. Ayrshire btw is always overlooked. Troon beach for instance is great in summer when we do get nice summers. Take care
Please don’t drive when you’re next here. There are several examples of you ignoring traffic regulations and driving into head-on lanes. You might seriously harm someone next time.
I wish your video gets millions of views because you have great content. Try running ads for your channel using some kind of system.

Love all the colors of green in Scotland. And all your lochs are beautiful.
Your kids are great, filled with boundless energy 😊
Lovely family , enjoy your time with them young ( I see you do ) there is nothing more valuable ❤️🏴
You are so kind. The purpose of these trips is to not wait until retirement but to enjoy each other while we are young and have *some* energy. :-)

Well done nice film nice family .I forgive you for murdering the place names .
Grateful for the absolution 🙂

The festival reminded me of Chicago's Lolapalooza, except our festival is just a few days. You all party for almost a month!
This was amazing! We loved it!!!
I like this video, keep it up ❤
I used to live in Glasgow, and would often fish in Loch Long, Just a few miles north of that Jetty. beautiful countryside, but awfully narrow road.
Narrow indeed!
Glad you enjoyed your trip and hopefully you'll be back? I got all excited because unfortunately
There are three Costco in Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
A Glasgow coffee house just been crowned best coffee in the world 2024 we are the first European country to ever win it .
Throughout the UK you need to ask a local how to pronounce place names.
A very good tip. 👍
Until thirty five years ago you would have been able to see US Navy ships from Kilcreggan. FYI Celtic is pronounced Seltic not Keltic.
Glad you enjoyed Scotland and visited Paradise and it's pronounced SellTic not keltic
😁 I think we pronounced it both ways in the video! Absolutely loved the stadium visit. And saw that we have an American on the team... except just he scored an own-goal today :-(
@@brentstutzman Two Americans in the team - Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty.

Absolutely. We don't have castles here in Chicagoland. Just tall buildings. I love that everything is 400+ years older in Scotland. What a treasure.
U were staying about a mile and a half feom coulport. U would have seen it at the roundabout. Where Britain keeps its nuclear weapons
While driving around the area we did go past some serious military bases. Very impressive.

@@dont_give_a_flying_f We loved our time in Scotland!
So long as you dont move here, independence is close, mary queen of scots family are coming home,so not part of uk,just like ireland and soon wales.
Ah, I see nobody warned you that an Umbrella is completely pointless in Scotland, the ice rain falls sideways and the wind will destroy it anyway. 😅
"Skaatlaand."

Definitely going to read up on road signs next time. 👍
Love that you saw the famous Glasgow Celtic the most famous and best club in all of Scotland
The history of Celtic was incredible. Got chills in the dressing room and walking out into the stadium.
Except Celtic aren’t Scottish they’re Irish , you should’ve went to Rangers who are Scottish & British 🏴🇬🇧
Dumbarton is pronounced Dum - Bar- Ton
Rather than Dumbatn
My apologies. 🙂 Loved that castle.
Don't worry about the pronunciation. I'm sure we Scots mangle plenty of place names when abroad. @@brentstutzman
So basically nothing pronounced correctly..👌😂😂
Just about! 🙂
It's Edinburgh please learn to pronounce
