Tarmac! It's either called the Apron, Taxi ways or the Runway

I never knew what the apron was called. I thought it was called the tarmac, and the runway and taxiway were different things. But i was dumb back then

The material and the actual construction name is Tarmac, the aviation term is yes apron, taxi ways, and runways, but the actual real non aviation term is tarmac.

@Mohammed Mezoued Tarmac is a material mostly seen in Europe that is used to make the surfacing, as well the name comes from a company called Tarmac who make airport surfaces.

Have you tried using a static grass area to give those grass mats a bit of life? I use the gaugemaster mats on my model railway, but found that they are too plain, so I used some static grass. It's exactly the same as using the powder grass, but instead of just dropping it on, the grass gets given an electric charge so when they hit the glue they stick upright like real grass would

This is a good video, you go ahead and use your local colloquialisms for the apron. Also, that grass powder seems like its static grass, which would work better applied in small pinches or with a static applicator. And maybe with the glue stippled on with a brush instead of poured

Thanks for the help! I'm gonna start one as I just started collecting and after time I want to build a full airport. How much would you say the wood would be (about 0.8m by 1m). Also a question: would you said 1.6m by 2m is too big of an airport ans should it be slightly smaller?
