I did feel sorry for the old retired Cavalry Officer. Most of them know him but clearly this guard had no clue. I think it’s great they are just rotating any trooper now to be in the box. It gives a chance for the new privates to be in the box or even be a chitsman or gatesman. I do miss some of the old familiar faces but pleased to see some of gone on for further training for their Lance Corporal so we must look out for the troopers with the new slides.
Hey! Here's a thought, institute a stupidity tax on the offending tourists! I reckon there would be sufficient funds raised to clear Britain's national debt! 😅
They know exactly what they are doing wrong but choose to ignore the rules. If anyone was hurt, like the stupid woman who 'fainted' when the horse was mauled, they would be demanding the guard was in the wrong.

Many guards just sit on the horse looking at who knows what but not visitors trembling in the white circle, coming close and petting the horse. This is so badly organized and I feel so sorry for the beautiful horses. Time to stop this circus and move the horses for good.
