പട്ടാളത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഈ വണ്ടി ഓടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇത് ജോങ്കയല്ല. നിസാൻ വൺ ടൺ ട്രക്കാണ്. ഒരു ലിറ്റർ പെട്രോളിൽ 5 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ് മൈലേജ്.. ഹാൻഡിൽ സ്റ്റാർട്ടും ഉണ്ട് ഈ വണ്ടിക്ക് . പട്ടാളം നാൽപ്പതു വർഷം മുമ്പേ ഈ വണ്ടി മൈലേജിന്റെ പ്രശ്നത്തിൽ ഒഴിവാക്കി.👍👍 പട്ടാളത്തിലെ മെക്കാനിക്കുകൾക്ക് പോലും അസാദ്ധ്യമായത് ചെയ്ത് കാണിച്ച നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ബിഗ് സല്യൂട്ട്.

@@munthazarv.u4341 പട്ടാളത്തിൽ petrol varient ആണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.. അതു കൊണ്ടാകാം mileage issues ൽ ഈ വണ്ടി പട്ടാളത്തിൽ അധികകാലം നീണ്ടുനിന്നില്ല.

@@munthazarv.u4341 പക്ഷെ വണ്ടി ഒന്നൊന്നര പവറായിരുന്നു. ജമ്മു കാശ്മീരിലെ ഊക്കൻ കയറ്റങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെ അങ്ങ് വലിഞ്ഞു കയറും. Body stability ഉഗ്രനായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ modifications നടത്തിയാൽ കയറ്റത്തിലും ഇറക്കത്തിലും balance കിട്ടില്ല. പിന്നെ repair ഇടക്കിടക്കെ വന്ന് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. പഞ്ചാബിലൊക്കെ പട്ടാളം ഒഴിവാക്കിയ ഈ വണ്ടികൾ auction നിൽ എടുത്ത് restore ചെയ്ത് diesel engine കയറ്റി ഒരു ട്രക്കിന് സമാനമായ load കയറ്റി പോകുന്നതു കാണാം. He was a very tough guy.. ഒരു വിധം ചെറു മാതിരി തട്ടലും മുട്ടലും ഒന്നും ഇവന പ്രശ്നമല്ല. 👍👍

I am in New Zealand, if there was no Corona, I would have loved to have this truck. The original military version of this truck I am guessing came with a straight 6 petrol/diesel engine (the same that was used in !970's Nissan Patrol). I think later on somebody changed it to this Perkins diesel. The Perkins engine must be made in India.
This truck is good for a full chassis up restoration, hope it finds a good home.

வணக்கம் sabarainath , 10 வருசத்துக்கு முன்னால் ஈரோடு இல் சிட்டி மோட்டார் என்ற ஒர்க் ஷாப் இது போன்ற ஜோங்கோ வண்டி சர்வீஸ் செய்ய வந்திருந்தது. அங்கே அந்த வண்டி அடிக்கடி வரும். நா தா அதற்கு கிளட்ச் பிளைட் ரீகண்டிஷன் recondition செய்து கொடுத்தேன். பழைய நினைவுகள். என்னும் ஒரு clutch plate கூட ஒன்று இருக்கும் நெனைக்கிறே. Fargo 13" கும் கொஞ்ச சின்ன து top gear shaft அதே தான் நெனைக்கிறே.

I recollected my Darjeeling days of 1968-1969 as a small boy. My dad was in Indian Army and we have travelled numerous times in such a 1 tonner. I was surprised that there was such an old Japanese truck overseas and the engine started.
Good to see an old Nissan one ton vehicle restarting again. Large number of Nissan and jonga vehicles procured in Indian defence soon after ww 2 and remained in service as late as 2000. I have repaired hundreds of such vehicles during my stay in Indiana Air force as a mechanical engineer.
