Tarikh Episode 72
In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil talks about about how Alauddin Khilji became the emperor of Delhi. Alauddin Khilji was the second and arguably one of the most powerful ruler of the Khilji dynasty of Delhi Sultanate. He was nephew of first Khilji ruler Jalal-ud-Din Khilji. Jalal-ud-Din appointing him the governor of Awadh in 1292. During this time Alauddin strengthen his power and start plotting against the Delhi sultanate. In 1296 he killed Jalal-ud-Din Khilji and appointed himself as the ruler of Delhi. After becoming king, he attacked Chittor in 1303 and captured it. Malik Muhammad Jayasi in his poem Padmavat talks about Rani Padmini of Chittor committing Jauhar which is believed to be a fictional story by most scholars. Yet in 2018 when film Padmavat was released it led to a huge controversy. Watch complete video to know the real vs fiction.

It's just because maybe the script writer and the presenter are not from the Historical background (I mean here, their academics)...That's why they're lacking...the actual sense of History... and caring about each single fact including all kind of illustrations shown in their video (not just about this video but also about other videos)... Their language and way of talking is simple that's the only positive thing about their videos on History...

Okay, maybe Padmavati is a fictional character but JAUHAR did happen at Chiitor in 1303 and Amir Khusro, the darbari historian of Khilaji documented this. If JAUHAR happened over there so there must be a queen also who led that JAUHAR. Her name was Padmavati/Kalavati/Padmini/Karnavati/Lazmibai..kya fark padta hai? Main thing is that JAUHAR happened there.

Rajasthani historic documents (which were written by Charan poets, clearly says that Padmavati was princesses of Pugal ( near Jaisalmer ). Movie Padmavat doesn't show true history, it's just a poem written by Jayasi.
This is a fantasy stories of a author after 300 years with similar names.
every event of padmawat is true because padmawati was princess of jaisalmer married to rawal ratan singh of chittor and brothers gora badal all died in battle with khilji ... so whats odd .... some masala is added like singhal dweep etc

If you have read history of rajasthan deeply than you may know that ajmer was the capital of India at the time of vighrahraj 4th/ visaldev(1158-63).so you can understand from where rani padmavati belong. It should be written in roman as "Kaṛa" not "Kara". A dot below "R" makes a big difference in pronunciation.

Amir khusrow in his book persian language and few writers have written that jalal uddin khilji was killed by their own 2 elder military general who found out that they need ali (Allauddin) as king because day by day the fear of mongols was increasing in sultanate as well as normal public and instead of fighting back jalal uddin thought to compermise and pay taxes jalal uddin thought that there would be alot to blood shed and they can't win against mongols so to avoid that he decided to accept their terms but elder vazir and their experts team have seen ali gushrasp aggressive and his war strategy plans and they were confident about alluddin and on the other side Alauddin khilji was a soft hearted person who loved his uncle as like father and even allauddin was his uncles favourite so there's no chance that he would do that and at that time he use to get suggestions from khwaja Nizam uddin auliya all though nizam uddin auliya never use to met any royal families or any kings in his life he saw 7 delhi sultans but he never met them even once allauddin went to meet him but nizam uddin auliya didn't met him they had conversation on leaf allauddin use to write on leaf and he use to get responses on other leaf id allauddin was arrogant and psyco he would have attacked nizam uddin auliya for rejecting to meet a sultan while he was on his door step.
