    Does this set-up produce a lot of torque? Looking at making a lead screw mechanism that opens and folds wings that are quite heavy. I won't need the actuator part, just the screw, and attach the end of the wings to that as it goes up and down the channel. I'm a bit tight for space as it will be attached to the back of a costume... Thanks

      The thrust (like torque but linear) depends on the motor you select. While a "lot" is fairly open to interpretation, if you are able to put together some ballpark figures, our tech support line (620-221-0123) can help steer you in the right direction.

    I have a question, does the cable of the encoder is included with the motor?

    can i use this to control a low rpm 120 v motor?

    • @ServoCity
      @ServoCity  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This controller is designed for a robotics competition called the FIRST Tech Challenge. It would not be suitable for 120v motors.

    Would you consider to make a video sharing the specific conditions and situations when or where a servo is not Legal?? I fin really interesting your term "Legal"

    • @ServoCity
      @ServoCity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is in regards to FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) which is an educational competition for middle school and high school aged students. www.firstinspires.org/robotics/ftc They have specific parts they can and can't use in the competition. Thank you

    I did not understand your meaning when you said "legal", especially "FTC legal". At first I thought you meant "supported" or "compatible", but when you brought the Federal Trade Commission, it was then that I knew that I was missing some piece of critical information. Please clarify. Thanks for a great channel.

    Maybe you guys could publish some tuned PID coefficients for the motor and actuator setup? The run_to_position and run_with_encoder runmodes can make use of custom PID coefficients github.com/ftctechnh/ftc_app/wiki/Changing-PID-Coefficients

    Ugggh, why is everything in inches? Let me know when you're ready for the metric system.

      Hi Ed, we do have an entirely metric brand in addition to our Actobotics line used in the video above. If you're interested in checking it out it's www.gobilda.com/.
