I've always felt like people with regular drug charges (not distributing), vagrancy, petty theft, etc. should not be in the same place as murderers, rapists, child molesters, and the like. The fact the punishment is basically the same for these two WILDLY different categories blows my mind.
Faith sounds like an Earth Angel. And her Mother’s death wasn’t in vain if the books she passed onto you helped you! Such a blessing ✨❤ thank you, Faith!
awww, Faith's mom would have been so proud her daughter (because of her) could be there to help someone, help that she herself probably needed but never got - that her daughter was able to give to someone else in recovery!!! Coming from a long journey of recovery from trauma, I am always so happy to give someone something I would have desperately needed in my past but never got and suffered so much as result - to able to give it to save someone else and help them is one of the very best feelings in this world (honestly, we get told so much that we are selfish, so I never really believed this until I lived it! It is just rewarding and radiant like nothing else!) ! One of my biggest hope as a mom is that my child grows up to be able to hold compassion, non judgement and help someone else on their path to recovery after watching me struggle to make progress on my path!
Such a nice lady Tina is...i enjoy your positiveness...and I'm hooked watching your tape's...i'm old but I still learn off young and oldish people...keep up the food ways...tina
THANK YOU for pointing out that not everyone is nice in jail. That’s an UNDERSTATEMENT. It’s something that people don’t think about when their loved ones go to jail. Having to live with TRULY people that are just the DEVIL. I NEVER believed that there were just bad people
My bunkie and I met 13 years ago and stayed friends both of us are clean now her 9 years and me 7 years and we still see people all the time when we were in jail all those years ago still coming in and out it was crazy. She is my bestie and I don't know to this day what I would do without her. I know they say don't make friends with people in jail but you really can meet your people in there.
Dude this brought me to tears. Oh I wish I could meet you. You seem so genuine and so honoring. My sister's friend is someone I see as such a blessing. She had narcan and it saved my sister's life. Twice! Unfortunately this girl doesn't have the same journey as faith. She's a recovering addict herself, that keeps going back to using crack. I'm so fearful she doesn't have the strength to beat this. I pray one day she sees her value. She's the reason my sister is alive. Like seriously I can't even begin to tell her what a blessing she is. We have her a $50 gift card to a restaurant and a card thanking her for what she did. I'm so grateful to hear your story and know how well you did. If gives me hope. Please Tina pray for her. Her name is Victoria ❤
I've never been to jail, or had an addiction; but my parents both have. I'm very happy to have come across your page. You seem so genuine, and caring. Thank you for the content you put out. Stay strong, and never go back.
I'm struggling with intravenous cocaine use and Tina is an inspiration to me, I was using three to five times a day and have cut it down to three times a week, next week I'll be cutting down to twice a week. I know it doesn't sound much but with IV coke use it can cause really bad seizures quitting cold turkey so the only thing I can do is cut down gradually but my appetite has came back with a vengeance and for me just sitting down and eating a meal instead of picking at snacks now and again is a big deal. Tina really is a God send. She doesn't sugar coat things, she tells it how it is. I can't wait to have my own "soberversity"
@@KerrieOhanlon123 cutting it from 5 to 2 is amazing you've done so well already!!! don't feel bad about not quitting cold turkey i don't think anyone stays sober for long with that approach :) its been a while since youve posted this comment, no matter where u are in recovery, i hope it only gets better for you
It's beautiful that you met Faith. And no one I met in jail was a bad person - granted I was on a pretty small, low security unit - we were all probation violations, a lot of addicts, and my bunkie (who was like my mom in there, she was so kind and took such good care of me on the inside) was actually there because her brother LIED to the cops and said she assaulted him when she was literally in sepsis from a cat bite - I guarantee she's gonna get off on her case, I know she's still in but I hope she'll get out soon. It was a horrific situation, and I truly hope she gets out soon and will be okay.
I love your first story so much. I don’t struggle with addiction but I do struggle with depression and anxiety. I can absolutely attest to how much one person can make a difference. Just acknowledgment without judgement or true understanding of what you’re going through can change your life! I don’t know you but I’m so proud of all the hard work you’ve done! Keep it up girl!
I've always had an issue with the judicial system, but I recently read "Waiting For an Echo" by Christine Montross and it made me think about things I never really considered before. I highly recommend. Especially to the people I see in the comments of these videos talking about how people deserve to be treated as less than human. I strongly believe that addicts shouldn't go to jail/prison just for possession.
Thank you for sharing this story. Faith is an angel. My mom also lost her battle with drugs. I was pregnant at the time and sober. I ended up relapsing after my baby was born and was on a bad run for several more years. In and out of detox and rehab. I finally got sober 5/6/14 and I'm about to be 10 years sober May 6 this year. I got my daughter back and we've Bern healing together. I absolutely love your channel. Kudos for saving lives Tina!❤

She was tough yet went to church and had the greatest parents, but in our area pill mills ravaged the area & people, and if it could happen to her it could happen to ANYone. She is sober for a decade now but she still celebrates every day clean like the gift it is. ❤

You help so many more people than you know! I love your videos, they really do help me feel like I’m not the only one who struggled so hard. So grateful for the 2.5 years clean I have. We do recover ❤
Me and my bunkie were the same age, same charge, arrested the same day, first offense for both. We clicked in the holding cell, immediately! When we got put together in the same cell we were both so happy, but we ended up with different judges. We both tried to get treatment in lue of conviction. I got treatment she went to prison. She's dead now. She died shortly after being released. I have been sober for 6 and a half years, i have a beautiful 5 year old son. She deserved a chance that she never got.
Proud of you and Faith. I’ve know what it’s like to be confined in the psych ward but I can’t imagine not being able to go, or at least see, outside. But at least you were able to get a lot of wisdom and meet good people out of these experiences 🖤
What a bleasing that you two found each other. She sounds like an amazing woman. It made me emotional listening to your story. So many people are unwillingly to help others. They only want friendship when it benefits them. Im so glad you had her when you needed support the most!
Your such an inspiration 😊 it is such a weird feeling when your jail bestie gets out. Your happy for them but your sad cause your gonna miss them as well. Having all those mixed emotions and feelings is a weird thing to feel.
There are bad people in jail and also walking around society freely... being unethical or immoral is not a precursor to getting convicted. The way you talk about jail I think it shows your resilience and how likeable you are. And it goes to show if people like you, Tina, can be thrown into prison then clearly any good-hearted person simply struggling with addiction is at risk of being unnecessarily convicted!
You are amazing! I'm honored to hear a story of such resiliency. I hope that you continue to succeed although I know you will because you're such a strong person. Also I love your shorts, they're so funny yet such an eye opener for people who haven't experienced addiction

You are amazing, Tina! Such an inspiration ❤️
It’s nice to hear someone sharing stories of jail not exaggerating or romanticizing it just flat out honesty ❤
Always glad to see you Tina and how well you are doing! You are AWESOME!!!
Your videos are a reminder of the lowest lows but also the joys in the littlest things.
Oh my you remind me so much of my daughter around the same age! May you continue to be blessed and so glad you turned your life around!
Your story is so powerful! The thing that tried to take you out is now your platform. Crazy how the tables turn. God is so good! 💯 🙏🏽
She saw something in you Tina. God bless her. She sounds like the sweetest angel!
your spirit is incredibly positive, I only have found you recently but your attitude is so optimistic it's addicting to watch. ❤❤

What you are doing is truly amazing. I hope nothing but the BEST for you!!!
Tina, you look so happy in your "after" picture in the thumbnail. I'm so happy for you!
I really needed the positivity. Thank you sm. It's hard to quit anything
Why is her voice so calming????
You look so amazing now! I'm so glad you're clean and that you're helping others get the courage to get clean as well ❤️
“And go figure her name’s faith” so real Tina;33
There are bad people in jail and also walking around society freely... being unethical or immoral is not a precursor to getting convicted. The way you talk about jail I think it shows your resilience and how likeable you are. And it goes to show if people like you, Tina, can be thrown into prison then clearly any good-hearted person simply struggling with addiction is at risk of being unnecessarily convicted!
Thank you for keeping me inspired and knowing I can do this!
You are amazing! I'm honored to hear a story of such resiliency. I hope that you continue to succeed although I know you will because you're such a strong person. Also I love your shorts, they're so funny yet such an eye opener for people who haven't experienced addiction
Thank you so much for sharing that this. I can relate.4 years sober March 21st. Thank God ❤
