I tore out the kitchen in my Rv project the other day and learned the importance of a heavy pry bar. I will definitely be getting that set when I start parting out trucks.
I have an older Mac pry bar CPB580 58 in. 3/4 thick o for orange that's for Dave, One Mechanic. Haven't used it much in automotive. But I remember Snap on strutting in with his big boy & I shut him down by 4 in or so.I love being a ball buster, have all good tool guys. Like when I bought a snap box and he gave me crap about Matco tools in it , I bought a Matco box also & told him he was right.. Great Job Chad!
I have that same 42 inch Mac prybar that I’ve had for almost 20 years, I can also attest that thing is a beast and the best prybar that I’ve ever had. Truck tires, school bus tires, truck tires at home it’s helped put them all on. I beat a deck apart with that prybar and a big hammer. And one time I was late for work and needed to change my spare tire where the center stud had a rusted on nut, I just grabbed a hammer and that prybar force it out. It has gone through some neglect by bad storage through a couple of relocations around the country and one bad divorce but after 20 years it’s still going strong
Yes they are just got mine today 4 piece and one 44” comes with it free but I still have him bring it when he can pull it out from wherever he has it. Cant wait Hurry up MACTOOLS.
I buy Harbor Freight tools because I don't break a lot of tools, I lose them. Especially ratchets and sockets so I refuse to pay tool truck prices for basic hand tools. Keep up the great videos.
Leverage is your friend! You're damn right it is. I remember me and 2 other guys moved a 1000 gal elevated fuel tank (for a genset) almost full of fuel by each of us having a 60" rock bar. We were only nudging it but it still surprised me we were able to move it at all
I got a four piece Cornwell set (minus the second shortest one) on eBay for $50 a couple years ago. The long one is a beast. I use the second longest one the most but also use the shortest one a fair amount.
Since I'm having troubles tracking down our Mac guy, should I call them to order that pry bar set? Someone told me if there's a special in a flyer with the set/item you want to buy, when you order just that set online they will add/send the "free" item advertised in said flyer with it. Is that true or am I better off calling and buying so I for sure get the 42" with it? Thanks CP, or to anyone else who can point me in the right direction.
I have the Taiwanese version of the old Mac design and they are brilliant. I beat them every day, even used them as concrete chisels and held up really well. They even flex less than Snap On !
The Mac shank is made by Mayhew and Mayhew makes a 54 inch 7/8” shank prybar called “The Big Stick”. I have one for no practical reason lol. Every mechanic who sees it gets a kick out of it.
"Leverage is your best friend' you are the brother I never had CP ! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
I appreciate that

Its great when a manufacturer takes the time to engineer decent handle! 👍
They better since mac only makes the handle
