I bought my first bike in September, got a 2016 Yamaha fz07. Had Gieco for my car insurance and got motorcycle through them for $87 a month. Then after two months i started to shop around and progressive gave me for $35 for full coverage
That crazy low! I have a 2008 gsxr 600 and go through progressive and get a discount for haveing a multi policy and I pay $1,500 a year for insurance on my bike 😭😅 I definitely need to shop around for different insurances next year!
Insurance is insane. I quoted a 2024 zx6r and it’s $320/ month. And I’ve been riding a Suzuki SV650 for 4 years no accidents/ tickets on my driving record
$3800 a year in Arkansas….. 24’zx6r 636. I’m 48 no tickets in over 12 years. For a $12.4k bike that’s absolutely insane 😝 that’s a new zx6r every 3 years just for insurance….
Well 60 months is average here in the states, so 254x60 = $15,240 + $1,500, so will end up paying $16,740 over the whole term, not including the depreciation of the bike.
I've quoted about 30 bikes in my lifetime. 600's (sport bikes) and most other bikes for that matter are about $20-$40/month for state minimum (plpd) which is basically if you crashed they give you a $5 bill and send you on your way lol. But full coverage was like $300/month for any sport bike. Naked bikes (mt07/09, sv650, ftr1200) were WAYYYY cheaper for full coverage...like under $100/month easily. If it looks fast. It cost more.
Im putting 5-6k down on a 23 gsxr later this summer and insurance will be $167 a month and Im a first time rider. All the other quotes I got were terrible and 167 for a first time rider on a 600 is pretty good

Probably lol
I got a zx6r for my first bike lmao. I put 2k down and my payments like 260. Not sure what I pay in insurance. It's not much though, $30? I don't remember lol. But I'm also not 18 or 19 and am "more responsible" I guess.
Anyway I strapped an exhaust and got it tuned and now it's loud as fuck
Do you have full coverage?
@@JagMoto636 To be completely honest, I have no clue. I took the cheapest option I had lol.
@@Gazkhuul 😂 get that full coverage bro!!!
More responsible but doesn't know their insurance rate, riiight
@@croaton07 I didn't look at it. It was $64.
Didn't know you had roundabout in the US haha
They’re all over in wisconsin lol
Is your credit decent or was it good ? And what was the job length requirements?
It’s decent. I have no idea what the requirements are, but I just got a new bike recently with just starting a new job after 1 week.
@@JagMoto636damn I got denied for job history despite being 8ish months into new job and 750+ score
@@kylegarcia4141 wow that’s crazy. Maybe you don’t have enough credit history like previous loans to show
bruh whats crazy is im on my first year of riding.. i ride a 125cc Honda CBR 125R and I pay £160 a month lol
WTH why is it so expensive????
@@JagMoto636 UK insurance prices 😂 cause I’m a new rider, mixed with the fact I only have CBT (which in the UK basically means that you’re on an L plate and only coke compulsory basic training (CBT) )
Once I have a full year of riding and then get full license I’m sure it’ll come down
@@NightingaleBrawlhalla wow that’s crazy expensive man.
Will a mfs course lower your insurance?
Yes it will
Yeah by 10 bucks😂
What interest rate and loan length?
@@BreadAndGatorade think it was 8% for 60 months
couldnt u just tell them u have experience??
@@fluxx8057 even with experience insurance is high
thats high
Is that 150$ a month for full coverage or just liability ?
Full coverage
@@JagMoto636 I have to get full coverage on mine. I’ve called about 4 different places, no one has been less then $900 a month. Idk how you got it so low??
@@tyler_7323 how long have you been riding and do you have points on your license ?
@@tyler_7323 Just go ahead and get a 300cc bike lol. 50$/mo or less.
what was your credit score at the time of purchase? if you dont mind me asking🙏🏼 much love bro☮️
I think around 680
what is your APR on the bike?
Not going to lie… it’s high at 11%
Youre right. You dont know anything about financials lol
Next time save up and put down half the MSRP ($5000-6000 down) and ask for a 72 month term. Your monthly payments will be cheaper and you won’t spend your whole life paying off the bike
Instead, you can spend most of your youth saving up for something you likely won't want or can no longer ride. That's why financing is a thing, especially in today's world.
@@croaton07it doesn't take 10 years to save $6000 in any country where buying a zx6r is even a question.
If you don't want it, don't buy it.
In what scenario can you no longer ride it?
Honestly I don't even think you have a bike, my dude. Or any vehicle for that matter. You sound you haven't left mum's house yet😂😅
How long did you finance the bike for?
60 months
@@JagMoto636 I guess thats why but it's still crazy high
5-8k down-payment wth? Just get a used bike lol
What was your credit score
Around 680
