It makes total sense. If we take the verb «έρχομαι» and add to it some prefixes, the meaning changes.
Edgaras, aciu labai for this lesson. I actually had no idea how many prefixes there were for a verb like daryti! The big question is whether each of the prefixes you mentioned change the meaning of different verbs in the same manner. It seems like "pra-" and "pri-" and "su-" perhaps would not apply to other verbs in the same manner. I would definitely welcome more lessons on prefixes either on TH-cam, but preferably in the on-line course. Linksmu Velyku!
hi edgaras can you please help me properly pronounce 'rasa'? im trying to Learn lithuanian for my friend, so any tips on how to properly pronounce her name and maybe even say it in a pretty or pleasent way would be helpful. I'm american so lithuanian culture is very different to me
By creating simple sentences … using nouns from all five declensions. It is gonna so much sense! It is not that big deal. Where are you from? Aš esu iš Amerikos. Iš + genitive. Where are you? Kaune. ( locative case ) If you wanna say “I go to Kaunas” Į Kauną ( accusative case ) By doing this, you are gonna memorise the endings.
Making perfect verbs by adding is a common thing in slavic languages (I know that lithaunian isn't slavic) e.g. Daryc - giving as a gift. Padaryc - gave as a gift. Another thing as Uz and Ati is more or less as one hand Kryc - cover Zakryc - close Otkryc - open Prekryc - slitely close Preotkryc - slitely Open Und auch deutsche Anmachen - open Zumachen - close

Excellent lesson! Looking forward to a lot more lessons on prefixes😁👍🏻
Thank you!
Thank you for your lesson. Prefixed verbs are easier to remember because "they have a hook by which to remember the meaning."

Perhaps a lesson on participles (examples: It will be built. It is being built. It was built)?
