Hey IC boys.. sorry I missed your show this AM, got back really late from the fabulous Bomber game last night so it was a sleep-in day. Great interviews with Jeff Hamilton and Ty Bauer!! Have a great rest of the summer and thanks for all the content you put out on the Jets/Moose. It's my go-to every time I need updates on events surrounding our NHL and AHL teams!

I also can't believe how many kids I see around biking without a helmet, that is dumb and illegal. All adults and kids should wear bike helmets. It is a law for kids.

I’m not convinced that #7 Vladdy the Baddy can’t be a legit 2C in this league. Guy is super skilled, played with speed, and is tough, and plays well defensively.

So what are your thoughts on a back up plan of the new Defensive draft Alfons Freij? I watched him skate at Dev Camp and wow, he can move and skate. He is a great two way defenseman, great IQ, fast skater. Will he be with thr Moose further year or do you see him as a back up option if there is an injury on main roster?
I dont understand the drop in play tslk. They Need cole. The. Need a 2c. We didnt have till march. But were top of the league with rhis roster minus dillon. Crazy to me.
Ville , stan, samberg, gus, vlardi, barron will all continue to progress. I expect a better year and more cohesion.
With how much they project cap go up in few years close to high 90s million.
If your a smaller marktet/not a marquee destination signing guys long term and how UFA went this year is the ideal situation.
If you say gave a bridge deal 2yrs 3million. And after 5yrs 7m.= 41m
If no bridge bet on player youll be overpayong first 2 years maybe 3 but the stability ect will equal out later.
Sign a 7/8 x 6m =42m and player if injured or doesnt project/top out like a Perfetti is that 1m maybe 2m more after arbitration worth it. And if they outplay the deal like Scheifele and are worth 8-9m they have to take in consideration the years they didnt outplay it.
Even not top 6 potential guys like Lowrys,Laughton,Jenner,Domi types but a future younger prospect getting them at 5yrs x 3-4m or less is still benificial.
If they enjoy being part of team and noy having to over pay for a bottom 6 guy/low 3rd liner.
I can definitely see as cap goes up similar to NBA top teams can afford more. Top players starting with Draisaitl will dictate market going forward 14-16m will make McDavid,Matthews ect want more plus things like weather,taxes could make it even harder for teams like us in future one day.
Not to mention Rangers,Maple Leafs can buyout spend not care. Buying 8m like Wheeler m/Schmidt hurts bottom line not ideal. And staying a true draft develop team having core signed and pushing ELC in is way to go not having 4.1 iafallo,6m Pionk letting competition prospects/players like Coghlan,Fluery,Salmonsson,Heinola like we should have done Capobianco/Chisholm.
And start being little nore cutthroat if fans see a guy like Stanley being given time or chances over and over its not a good look move on.
If McGroraty isn’t traded by the deadline he might as well go back and sign as a UFA.
If stanley can stop being a gentle giant
Jets might finish in 8th next year and that is reality 🙄
