And customer service is very helpful you just have to be serious about what you are creating and going for and stay on it. I check my e-mails and call the Uspto once a week too keep updated. It's not that hard to do. Just take your time and read read and be mindful what you put down and subment. Good luck everyone.
You can do the trademark application on your own. It's a little tedious but being careful by fine tuning your work it can be done. Don't be scared. Don't let the application intimidate you.

You forgot to mention that Legal Zoom does NOT handle Office Actions. So if USPTO starts a Office Action for the registration, the person using Legal Zoom will be royally screwed. Also, Legal Zoom does NOT do any kind of renewal processes when year 5-and-6 comes around to renew the Trademark. Which is a special form to continue the Trademark under its current status, but is a continuance thereof to proceed to the 10th, 11th,12th, 13th year until it hit the 15th year where you have to renew again. Legal Zoon does NOT handle that, and the trademark will then be "Abandoned" by the USPTO, which means youll lose your Trademark, And it will be up for anyone to grab after its Abandoned Grace Period.. Which is 6 months total after its been Abandoned by the USPTO..

I tried to Copyright my work with the U.S Copyright office and couldn't do it because it's closed during COVID-19 which doesn't make any sense. Important businesses like that needs to be open. Schools needs to be open because parents can't go to work if schools not open but they are open, hospitals, banks, grocery stores are all open and the Copyright office should be open to it's important but there not open so I will have to Copyright my work with legal zoom.

You can register your business as a D.B.A ( Doing business as) that will establish a bank account, etc. You own the name in commerce only in the U.S. With that move. You still have to pay for a web domain with your business name, so nobody else snatches that from you... Trade mark puts you in the position where as of selling goods, food, clothing, etc. You'll have a case if anybody tries to mimic you or steal's from you. That is a true way to protect your business name if you have product your going to sell with your company's name attach to the product. If not just do your DBA first than get to the trade mark. Put your paperwork in order before you go hard in the paint. Protect yourself.

To be honest I used Legal Zoom to start an LLC. Is was a good experience they kept me updated throughout the entire process and make sure I knew what I needed to do as far as state requirements. From doing that I started using their legal team for other things like trusts and trademarks. Now it can get expensive but it was always cheaper then finding a lawyer elsewhere. I initially tried Legal Zoom because I didn't have the money to do it any other way. So this is just my experience. It might be better ways or people out there but this was an awesome choice for me

Most people have "Home businesses" which means your private home address will be made available to ANYONE. Before using any legal self-help service. Do your own research on that subject write down all the questions you may want to the answer.
