Great video, but you did not explain if the USB for the Fire TV Stick 4K needs to be formatted by a computer or by the Amazon Fire Stick 4K and which type of format to use if that is the case. So you essentially install the xplore app on BOTH the storage stick and the firestick/chromecast? And you can add it to a desktop (and I'm guessing ipad/tablet) as well if you want to transfer between all of them? If it works I'll thumb up and subscribe.
Hi John, that's not what I said but yes you can install xplore on all devices listed, you can then use the xplore add on (extra cost one device) say for your computer to manage and transfer files back and forth to the listed device.
I was trying to create a New Folder on a USB stick using this app. Kept getting message that it couldn't create the folder. I made sure I was in Superuser mod but still didn't work.

On the Nvidia the first external was on there as a system storage and then the 5tb one I plug in at will and the X-plore see's it like a computer would.

I have done it many times as long as your not running any processes such as file transfers etc. if it is idle there's no issues that I have seen or heard of

Does anyone have this dilemma? I have one Firestick w/OTG cable and 16GB Sandisk USB, one Firestick with UGreen USB hub ethernet connected and 16GB Sandisk USB. I've downloaded Xplore on both and am unable to see Device Storage. I can format for External storage and the USB's show up in Xplore. I've tried everything I know to do, but at this point I have no solution.
@@CouchPotatoCafe Thanks, CPC! I believe I have it figured out. External storage WILL show in Xplore, but Device storage won't because it is set to 'private'. I can, however, move apps in Xplore to the USB and confirm the move by looking at manage applications and confirming I see the USB icon. CordCutters has just the video to explain this process.

You would think so, but I have tried and could not. They say it's just to show at a glance and then use the regular file system to enter that section you want to see.

i have firestick 4kmax, I installed xplore and have several apps that show on they are installed on my usb drive that i have on the ogb cable. However, in xplore I do not see my "264 usb disk drive"/ I see on your video your Samsung usb drive shows. So i assume when you move files from the left side to the right side they are going in the usb drive. When i move files from the left to the right i think it is still staying in internal storage because my internal space is decreasing. How do i get my usb drive to show so i can move the picture folders and files into them (external storage)? Really could use your help.
Go to your settings on the firestick under storage and add the USB device and be sure it's writable and if you do not see the usb drive be sure the OGB cable is a good one, I went through two new ones that did not work.

In Manage Installed Applications I show certain apps with the usb hub logo next to it such as Netflix, Chess, VLC, etc. But when I go into xplore I only see Internal Shared Storage of 892mb/5GB. After searching the online documentation without results, I reinstalled the app which solved the issue. An alternative method to achieve this would be great, any recommendations? The issue happens with an incorrect HTTP header. If the request has the right Content-Type header: application/vnd.android.package-archive, the APK will be installed correctly. Not knowing if you are using a web browser to control x-plore or if you are trying to open a apk directly through the app. You could try to install from another file program and check permissions on your files.

Yes only one device but if there was a mistake and you want it on another device then contact them and see if they will take care of you.

What's that tiny little number in the upper right for each file?
In the video those are the recording numbers and not anything in the app

Highlight the files you want to transfer long press the select button on the remote and it will show copy, move etc then choose the usb drive
