I found this piece 6 years ago when worldbuilding for my next D&D campaign. Today I'm starting a new campaign and what do you know? I'm reminded this incredible thing exists!
I know most people are talking about the grander parts of this arrangement, which are fantastic, but personally my favourite parts of this composition were when you were able to shift and slow down and play the beautiful melody at 2:26
I still keep coming back to this piece, it's just so beautifully composed. I used this composition as well as a few others on a video project of mine (which you can find on my channel if you like) that was the culmination of 3 years of work for me, and I can't thank you enough for providing such a perfect musical backdrop to what I was going for with it. Without you and your incredibly rich and beautiful compositions, I'd not have completed that project. I hope you continue to make music for the rest of time, you're so extremely talented.
I just discovered your music and love it. What a tremendous talent you have. Of all your works, this is my favorite and I can’t get enough of it. Every time I listen to it I close my eyes and imagine my stramsona on one adventure or another. Amazing!
Thanks a lot, this music was the third attempt, before that I had a lot of problems to begin, but in the third I did it again and I finish it....... so you need to begin
“I-I don’t know about this professor, I’m used to just small towns like home, I’ve never been to a big city before. ESPECIALLY if it’s an imperial capital city” “Is it because it’s depictions are shown to be humongous?” “Yah.” “I’ve been there before and yah it is big but not BIG big, and as long as you all stick with me it will feel no bigger then home so there’s no need to to panic.” *see’s the vast imperial city spreading throughout the horizon* “……can I panic now?!”
thank you, it is something of much but much patience, some melodies here were sounding in my mind for several years, in fact there were 2 failed attempts to create this piece some time ago, but I was able to do it and as a funny story, I made this piece on a laptop without much power, and I didn't do batch resave on kontakt, so the instruments took minutes to load xD
@@LuisHumanoide Speaking of instruments, which libraries did you use to compose this piece? Not only are the melodies excellent and memorable, but it all sounds very convincing as well, in terms of realism
"write like this," Heck, I would give anything just to have the skill to strum a guitar, let alone understand and write an entire orchestra! You musicians amaze and awe me!
Magnificient work! I caught myself humming the theme for the past few hours, came back to listen to it again. Just subscribed to your channel recently, please continue to compose music like this, you have a lot of talent!!
Brilliant! I just finished writing a steam punk book and if it were ever adapted to the big screen this whole musical score would be the perfect composition for my movie theme! Spell binding, masterful, magical, mystifying, mesmerising, captivating with one crescendo after another. My book!?...a little thing called the Galactic Brew Wars: a hilarious tale of Rivalries and Revelries. Subtitle: The Great Galactic Brew Conspiracy by Peter H. Eris. Available as ebook, paperback and Hardback. Luis Humanoide get in touch lets make something special happen. I am attempting to write a script for the characters i have brought to life, including a steampunk Inventor amongst others. I want your music as the backdrop to the Galactic Steam punk Coffee and Tea Olympics! My book has so much going on and its all steam punk! Who would have thought it!...Not i! I was just trying to bring my child hood ideas to life! Only the Brits would build a Time Machine out of a Teapot! Who would have thought our Americana misfits would do the same with an Espresso Machine!? All copyright protected!
This is the type of music that introduces this hidden world that was beneath the main character’s feet this whole time. A mystery just waiting to be uncovered - places to explore, people to meet, a whole world of adventure. This is such a masterpiece I don’t think I can put into words how much I love this! I’m listening to this on repeat when I write now. :)
Somehow I missed this wonderful piece. The part at 1:25 is so wonderful opulent! Great suite, so diversified. Like the symphonic poems, my prefered kind of orchestral music.
Seriously, this is awesome. My friends and I are working on a video of animated illustrations, and your music would definitely complete the story we are trying to tell 😊 I'm so excited to see it all come to life! We've read the About section on your channel and we'd make sure to give you proper credit as the artist. Many, many thanks, sir. The melodies are beautiful, and your art deserves recognition!
Thank you, in fact the inspiration was a steampunk world but not oriented towards cities or machines, rather outside them. You'll notice it's actually a traditional orchestra with no steampunk musical elements
Not only a brilliant composition in its own right, but also the PERFECT music to have playing the background while playing Crimson Skies! Who remembers this old steampunk (ok, I guess more dieselpunk) game?
Is there somewhere I can buy your music other than spotify? The cdbaby site linked in the description no longer works and I'd love to have a copy of this to listen to again and again. This is incredible!
This music evokes the beginning of a fantastic voyage on a dirigible with large propellers powered by steam engines pushing into the clouds. Sailors turned aeronauts are busy collecting mooring ropes and getting the passengers tightly packed away as they ascend into the clear lower atmosphere. A bearded man with a ivory pipe wrapped in a sheepskin coat leads the travelers from the bow of the basket. Their destination and future unknown.
I am really curious about what sound libraries and DAWs you use ;). This sounds exceptionally well, especially when compared to other non-fully-professional composers, whose pieces may be technically great, but sound so artificial and flat (vide the Fiechter brothers).
Hi, I use Cubase in this piece, in new pieces I switched to StudioOne, the list of libraries I use you can find in the description of "In the house of the inventor"
Parra durante esta madrugada pude deleitarme con esta exquisita obra de sonoridad mientras edito planos épicos, ¿tienes pensado realizar algún proyecto con ella? Para lo que necesites esta mi Camara eh!
I was hoping to find out if there's a score for purchase...? Perhaps? I also donated $50 for such an amazing piece so please follow up on that, as I'm not sure how you receive them... Thanks in advance. P.S.: Trying to get our local orchestra in Carson City, NV to perform this piece; I would be donating the score to them.
Thank you very much Lourne, unfortunately I have not written a score version of this composition, I hope in the future to be able to write this (and the second part) so that it can be performed by an orchestra, in that case I will let you know when I begin to do it.. . . .since I still don't know how to write or read notes, I do everything by intuition
Not in this case, the program I used is to create the final sound, although some midis can be exported, it would not correspond to a structured score for orchestra. In that case I would have to do everything from scratch in software like finale or sibelius
Come one come all! Witness before you the amazing advancements science can bring you! Behold, flying machines that allow you to soar like the birds! Quad cycles that move faster than a horse! The lightbulb to light up those dark corners without a flame! Yes my friends, science is your answer to all your questions!
