Thank you for your effort and research on this dimension of coloring. Putting color on paper and watching things come to life is a complete joy for me. Now if only I can solve my carpal tunnel problem!
Thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear about your carpal tunnel. I have heard people use paints or watercolors instead as it is not as painful compared to pencils. Maybe this is worth a try for you. All the best x
Patience of Job for this one! Thank you. When you hear all your favourite colorist and artists tell you to copy your coloring book pages and you want GOOD paper ... it’s quite a choice! This helped me!
This has been very helpful, thank you! Especially seeing the swatches you've done with all the different pencils. Do you have a similar video for markers? I'd love to find a good paper recommendation for alcohol markers that works in my printer!
Thanks Sarah! I'm actually working on the alcohol markers video but it has been a bit difficult sourcing all the papers I wanted to test with shipping problems atm. Hopefully, I will get it uploaded soon. Stay safe. Happy creating x
Thank you I’m a adult colourist, and a hobby/fandom artist. For the fandom I’m in we are creating our own colouring book and I was thinking it maybe fun to get a specific paper for my submission drawing so i can then use that paper for any coloured pencil art.
That sounds like a great idea to showcase your work! If you were selling the book with the paper though it may be a bit exxy for your fan base, depending on your fan base. Good luck with the coloring book! Happy coloring and creating x
I was using the sprig hill vellum card stock but recently I stopped liking it as much. The tooth feels kind of wonky and spread out quite thick tooth like construction paper so I’m looking to change. I wish the Arteza came in A4 or 8.5x11
I haven't tested the card stock you are referring to....so many papers are hard to get in Australia :(. I wish the Arteza would come in an Australian A4 pad size ...I'm so bad at cutting it with scissors to fit my printer haha. Stay safe. Happy coloring x
looking to print pdf colouring pages out so i need a printer that can print on some of the more thicker types of paper, like 80-110b or 200gsm type papers, how did those go through your printer? which one do you have? and is it a laser printer? (heard these are nedded to ink doesnt bleed or smear while colouring
I printed all my papers shown on the video on my home HP Desk Jet (cheap) ink jet printer. The only one that I wouldn't regularly print on it would be the thick cardstock as I felt at over 300 gsm it was too heavy for the paper. When I print pages, I print them the night before so the ink "dries" to avoid any smudging. I believe that there are also fixatives that you can spray to avoid this issue (but I haven't tried them). Stay safe. Happy coloring x
Totally agree, I was using the word artist for memory in terms of people who are paid for commissioned work but I can see that my wording could be misconstrued. Stay safe. Happy coloring x
That's certainly a factor which I covered in the video. When papers are the same price eg Mont Marte and Reno Art then it's important that you get the paper that gives you the best result. Stay safe. Happy coloring x

Nice video super helpful! I love your review on papers. What printer did you use to grab all the different papers?
Thank you, I've just got a cheap HP Desk Jet printer (about $20 AUD). Stay safe. Happy coloring x

You know what decides the best paper? What you can afford!
