- Well the guys are back on another job. This time installing a new fuel tank for a new gas station that is being built. It is amazing how realistic this looks!
I also added some new fence covers from Wuehlbox who I will be working with on this Volvo EC160e hydraulic conversion kit. This kit is the APK hydraulic upgrade to the Double E Volvo EC160e. So if you have an electric version that you want to make hydraulic this kit is the way to go.

Always superb work? How long does it take to record...edit your videos? How much is left on the editing floor once done. It seems like a lot of hard work... Design...build...purchase...setup...teardown...Record...edit blah...etc..misc.. Great work. Ur vids places me in a real wonderland. Thank you muchly!
Thabk you for enjoying the video. Does mean a lot to me. To make a video takes a lot of prep time and then recording each scene. I would say on average 2-3hours to make the video. About an hour to edit. Some videos take longer to make if there are comicarions like something breaks down. But I guess in real life that happens too. Thanks again for the great question.

Your Volvo excavator looks very realistic. However, it is not only due to the model itself, but also the environment in which a model is moved accounts for at least as much. I think you did very well. I also have this Volvo excavator and will convert it to APK hydraulics. But I'm still on the waiting list because the dig box can't keep up with the orders. I'm already very excited and can't wait. I wanted to ask which sound module you use in the excavator, it sounds very good. I wish you continued fun with your models and good luck with hopefully many more videos 👍🏻
Thank you very much. Yes the hydraulics are easy to setup and work pretty well. The sound I have is not installed on the machine. It is a sound effect for the video...but if I was to add sound I would look at the beier usm 3 as you can program what ever sounds you like and they sound real.

How has the APK kit held up? Have you had any isssues?
great question. They have held up and no issues or leaks. I will be changing over to steel gears for the pump over the winter to see if it helps with heat control. I did notice on hot days it would not last more than 5 mins before overheating. I think that limited me for when I could use it. We had some hot days where I just could not use it. It is still a great machine and super accurate and smooth. Just wish it was not so loud as the pump motor is to loud for what I like. Also, it is a bit of a pig on battery usage if I increase pump speed. I keep it pretty low so I lose strength to dig hard dirt. But I do still like it and it is my main digger.

Not of the excavator. There is another video by bartste who shows his conversion. But I did record a video just not posted.

Hey again, got my kit, how did you get the hoses on? They are really tight, I tried heating, grease. Nothing is working. Any idea? Thanks
Awesome video as always! How did you like the conversion from Electric to Hydraulic on the Volvo? Also can't wait until you release the files for the skid steer that's going to be an instant purchase from me
Glad you like the video. The conversion was pretty easy as most of the work is to take apart the existing arm and install the cylinders. I would say the hardest part was attaching the hydraulic lines as they are tough to put on. As for the skid steer I will be posting the files for it soon. Just want to make sure all the parts are within tolerance and don't break easily.
@@RCConstructionHobby Nice okay that doesn't sound too bad, I was thinking of getting this as my first Hydraulic RC. Though you and Bartste are inspirations and build your own RC so I'm playing with the idea of trying to design and print my own excavator similar to Bartste's Hitachi.
Awesome I can't wait! I have an idea for the drive sprocket to do something similar like how the Lynx/Lesu Skidsteers do with some teeth through the tracks and cut holes in the bruder tracks

would you take the electric volvo over the huina 580? I'm a beginner but maybe 6-8 months down the road I will do a conversion to hydraulic. but want to know which would be better
Yes go with the volvo. It is more scale and works as good if not better in electric. Tge huina 580 was the first one on the market but this volvo is vetter as long as it is the newer version as they fixed the electrical gremlins in it.

@@RCConstructionHobby intro/outro music is particularly distorted... and the gain for the whole video could be turned down a little. Always test audio track through analogue speakers.. not digital headphones.
