My beautiful mam passed away on Friday I was her carer and she lived with me. My heart is broken in tears, I have listened to a song that says: 'One day we all get together and see Jesus', and I still feel sad and seek comfort, I only want to see my Lord Jesus. I came to Europe in my early 20s, with little money, I am still an immigrant. Once in Spain, I felt alone until that Sabbath morning when sitting behind us, among the brethren of the SDA Huelva was Candy. She was gentle, peaceful, our first contact was that morning in the church when she smiled at me. She was a noble and sincere, married to JoseRa who was her excellent pair as but adding to that pair his typical Basque sense of humour. Without any hesitation, they allowed me to share their life. I lived with them a real koinonia church, listening to the Sabbath sermon in the morning and going after to potlucks in summer and coffee chats in winter days. I wished every day was a Sabbath to be with them and Candy was the one that bonded us. We were so closed, JoseRa, as funny as he was, used to bring ice lollipops on Sabbath, saying you are Adventists, you can't buy them, but I can. For instance, you can try these lollipops without you breaking the law. Candy became our mum, she never liked to be in those shoes, but she acted as a mum. Once she decided not to attend the church. JoseRa dedicated his life after retirement to help drug abusers, Candy was someone you could call. She had a word of encouragement to everyone. The last year JoseRa passed away, and we don't know how hard it was for Candy, soon after we found that Candy died these days and departed as she lived, in peace, in silence, avoiding to make a mess. I couldn't say goodbye, couldn't tell her how much I loved her and how sad is my life without her. She didn't need me in your life, but she treated me as no one else had done, she gave me her time, supported me in difficult times and cooked me many meals. I miss her and wait for that day when: "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory, one day we will see face to face, Jesus is there a greater vision of grace, and in a moment, we shall be changed… On that day".
