Really! I did not know that. The new Twingo is pretty damn epic with its engine in the back. A gimmick and not very practical, but still a car that shows a lot of character.

The first Twingo gradually improved over the years thanks to the new phases. Not counting the multiple facelifts, the front seats are much wider on the facelifted models, and the car itself was much safer (stronger bodywork, larger wheels and breaks, anti-roll bars...) starting with the 2000 models, plus they also added a ton of equipement as standard compared to the early models.

I disagree, as the engine in the back allow it to have a turning circle of less than 8 meters, wich is a joy in town ;)

Thanks that was a helpful review for someone in the UK thinking of buying one (which we never had official imports from Renault in RHD!).

Je trouve le moteur D plus adapté sur la twingo que l'ancien cléon Fonte. Il est plus léger, la direction est plus souple et un peu plus de couple.
Le Cléon-Fonte est paradoxalement moins fiable que le moteur D aussi (il est réputé pour être bien fiable pourtant).
