I Purchased the same alternator at O’Reilly installed it today. The avalanche is roaring again. Whammy! as actor David Koechner says…done. Feels good. Good video, nicely done.

Nice video but why take the whole belt off ?
In our case we opted to install a new belt while we were replacing the alternator.

It's easier if you remove the air intake. Gives you more access to the tensioner.

Do NOT buy any rebuilt alternator. Always buy new AC Delco parts for your 5.3 Chevy. You won't have problems with NEW parts.
Just tell me the tools. So I don't have to search for them while i'm doing the job.
