Hi Silo - in the military I was kicked in the back for falling the way you did [back in the 1980s].
Learn to twist and protect your rifle if you fall, or use the buttstock as an initial point. You will save the weapon from becoming jammed due to mud/water and save that scope from losing it's centre.
Had to spend an afternoon falling down to learn how, but once you have it down pat, you'll never drop your weapon again.

@David Pulli Feel like people take paintball a little more seriously since that shit can actually hurt. So there is actually consequences to your actions. It's pretty 50/50 whether someone will take an airsoft game seriously. Or just walk around and pretend they didn't get hit. That reminds me a time that we were playing paint. We chased a guy into a meadow after the kill we stayed chatting. We were sitting ducks without cover.

Usually they're in cover, or not on front lines. He's a flanking type of player, not a front-line fighter. So the people he finds, are usually exposed like that.
I love Airsoft so much but the few times I've played in a semi competitive environment it has become really noticeable that a lot of the game is based on the honor system, and if you have one or two jerks in a game it can really mess it up for everyone. Not acknowledging a hit, coming back after getting hit without a medic, that kind of thing. In fact in the environment I played it's highly likely the person the mine detonates on will just walk away, or even steal the mine and then act like nothing happened. It's awesome you have such a great community to play with though and I *love* watching your videos! Keep it up man.
AceofBlades X I've had the same experience with paintballing too, but its not everyone or everytime, if you can try to tell the marshalls and they'll purposely watch out for that player then personally call them out when they too know what's going on
Maybe in the future, there is someone who develop technology that makes players who got shot unable to fake their 'death'.
Maybe the suit has a sensor that it glow for players who got shot, so 'dead' player unable to hide the fact that he got shot.

Moe A.! They are not out in the open, you got to understand that this dude has a sniper. Those guys are probably a 80 to 100 feet away.
Yeah, most people don't own nor expect players to have guns with that kind of range. They don't expect to get shot literally just out of spawn as they themselves aren't anywhere near an effective range to shoot accurately. Most airsoft players would be hesitant to waste rounds shooting at a distance which their guns aren't accurate for, but Silo is using an expensive high spec, high power sniper rifle to fire above normal engagement range.
So yeah, they are walking in the open because normally it would be safe enough to do so, plus they have no means of counterattacking at that range with their limited range guns. If anything, Silo's being a little unfair targeting players who literally cannot shoot back. True they should use cover, but most players aren't exactly experienced dealing with accurate sniper airsoft rifles. Even Silo's shots have some nuts drop-off, he just has the experience to know his rifles drop off range and still use it at that accuracy.

I used to paintball and know several airshofters. Sorry but the game always plays the same, poofy/bulky/thick clothing gives you the excuse to not notice hits. Its why I gave up on the sport, basically a bunch of CoD wanks whining that it's impossible the other guy got him, they aren't that good, blah blah repeat. Which is a shame as the games are fun and a lot of the players are great people
