Nice pics. I'm a Bailiff on the Downton Stretch. The Burgate stretch through the shallows have plenty of nice Grayling when in season and some huge trout. Hope to meet up with you soon
I fished those beats back in the 1970's, Downton was a village back then, the Bull Hotel used to sell tickets, indeed many of the pubs had fishing back then, the Bat and Ball had a stretch at Fordingbridge. I was however chasing coarse fish back then, now I mostly fly fish, hope you do well on there, it is still a lovely river.
I've (course) fished the Avon a few times, back in the day. A beautiful river, but I always find it a little intimidating for some reason. Probably just it's reputation. Cheers chap.
Thanks Peter, nice to see it above water!
Thank you - your videos are always very enjoyable.
Thank you.

Thanks for the comment, I look forward to meeting up, I am very much a novice on the Avon, but enjoying the learning.

Thank you, I feel the same, it is a big river.
Lovely. Ideal for some wet flies?? :-)
Thank you, and I think you are right, the mayflies are a bit late this year.
