  • Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Australia has been doing the “wrong thing” with Indigenous policy due to “disastrous leftist ideology”.
“Never in my life have I seen this kind of lawlessness, this total breakdown of order in some Aboriginal communities,” Mr Bolt said.
“All those tens of billions of dollars we spend on Aboriginal Australians every year … and this is what we get, in Alice Springs, for instance?
“Liberal Senator Kerryn Liddell, who was born there, was asking almost all the right questions today.
“The one question she didn’t ask is, where were the parents of these children?”

Why even bother with any of it? They had the place for thousands of years and didn't make anything worth a darn anyhow. Anything they do now is entirely off the backs of western technology and ideologies. No other nation throughout history would be so naive to give the conquered this much power over them.

It is unfathomable why the people of the English speaking world, who have achieved so much in science, medicine, technology, health and human happiness, rid the world of Nazism and established the very idea of inalienable personal liberty and equitable law, should now be told to despise themselves. Drug abuse, domestic violence, unemployment child sexual assault, poor healthcare outcomes and poor educational outcomes .etc
These are issue endemic to isolated Aboriginal communities and will exist for as long as these communities exist.
The government needs to stop bankrolling the continued existence of isolated aboriginal communities and focus on jobs programs and other measures to integrate them into regular Australian society.

      @@fenlander7114 No, that's not correct.
      - The increased rates of drug abuse, domestic violence and child sexual assault are a function of the reduced policing resources available in isolated communities and deliberately reduced oversight under the guise of 'indigenous self-determination' [basically allowing them to make-up their own laws in those communities].
      - Poor healthcare outcomes, educational outcomes and job opportunities are a function of the reduced access to hospitals, schools and employment hubs in isolated communities. Cities have better hospitals, schools and more employment opportunities.
The lack of resources and opportunities for isolated communities is a natural consequence of them being isolated communities.

Well said Andrew. All these problems are not being dealt with as they just use band aids and make policies on the run. I agree with Senator Price, first job is a total audit of the Aboriginal industry. The amount that is spent in eye watering. Building new houses in remote communities is not a good idea as there is no jobs for the adults and no future for the kids. Integration is what is needed. Welfare causes more problems as it is just a money train and people end up losing interest in working and building a better life. Children should be removed if they are being abused, doesn't make any difference what the colour of their skin is. Listen to Jacinta Price and Warren Mundine, they have practical solutions to these problems.

A non-violent answer is for every single Aussie to self identify as indigenous.

Abbott, ONLY PM who went and lived with them and listened for more than a 2 hour photo op.
He spent weeks at a time living in aboriginal communities.
Look it up, NO OTHER PM did this...
    Especially Liebor ones.

NT government has the audacity atm to put a big tv ad campaign on careers in tourism. They clearly gave up on sanity.

Hearing about this poor Aboriginal girl's repeated rape since the age of 3 would make any decent Australian sick. But do we hear about it in the newspapers of the Left? And what has been done to the offender(s) in this case? Likely nothing as it is a cultural feature. It seems Aboriginal culture, including its depravity (by the standards the rest of us live by), must be preserved at all costs: personal, societal and financial.

Well I have an Aboriginal daughter in law and I have never heard her complain ever about the way that Aboriginals have and are being treated by our current society. It seems to me that the whole issue that is being fiercely debated right now is being driven by a few true well educated Aboriginals and a great number of individuals who are claiming Aboriginal ancestry and frankly they are the ones who are instigating and/or promoting division amongst us all. This funding should go to those Aboriginal communities who are living in those remote areas without even clean water to drink let alone decent housing and living conditions.
