OMG dude you are a savior of men, I have been lost for days in the sea of disappointment. Trying to figure out how to do all the things you explained in this one vid. Thank you Thank you.
This was incredibly helpful. while you are going through this at 100 miles an hour, it has still been more understandable to me than all of the other videos I haver watched.
This has been THE best tutorial for Fusion 360 CAM workflow that I have come across. Immediately subscribed. To the point, a real example, multiple options, densely packed with information, I didn't have to play it back at 2x like most of these other tutorials - in fact I'm going to go back and watch this several more times to catch everything. Kudos man, and THANK YOU!
Wow thanks for the feedback! Glad I could help! One of these days I'll do some more CNC and make some more videos. Otherwise, check out Lars and NYC CNC. Both of these channels are where I learned a ton of Fusion tricks.
@@gump1119 I would like to see more content like this, so hopefully you post more in the future. Looking for more technical videos just like this one with different toolpaths and things like that.
Thank you for this video. You deserve more subs my dude - your explanations are concise, detailed and each step is easy to follow. You helped me go from total noob to being able to do exactly what I wanted to do with my project in F360.
Thank you for the kind words :-) I’ve really enjoyed making stuff with Fusion and I might put out some more videos. I actually just finished making a new CNC machine so I’m up and running again.
You are good at explaining this stuff, very clear and informative. Please consider making more F360/CNC-videos. Now I'm inspired to cut my own MiniQuad frame :) Kind regards from Sweden.
Not yet. My MPCNC has been up and running for a while, but I'm having some issues with jerky circular movements that I haven't solved unfortunately. So haven't done any real jobs yet, want to fix that issue first.
My MPCNC uses Marlin and I'm trying to get a custom marlin post processor working without any luck. Any tips? - neat just found your other video for this, thanks :)
I don't, sorry. It's something I just kind of figured out after doing it a bunch of times. I heavily use the mirror and projection tools to save a ton of time though. I learned from Lars and NYCCNC. Both have youtube channels teaching Fusion. NYCCNC focuses more on the CAM but they definitely cover design as well.
I use scotch extreme mounting tape. I buy a huge roll from Amazon. Just set your Z0 depth correctly and it shouldn’t really get cut by the machine. But a nice sharp tool won’t be phased by cutting a little bit of foam tape.

prob one of the best Fushion 360 videos I have seen! and this is just what I have been looking for so thanks for sharing
This pretty much covered everything I did wrong on my first attempts at CNC milling. Thanks!
I've watched a couple of your videos and you do a better job of explaining things than a formal Fusion 360 online training course I'm taking.
Haha, awesome. Happy I could help! I take it you are an aviator?
@@gump1119 I am!
Nice! Keep the blue side up!

Thanks! Yeah I move kinda quick but I want to try to keep the videos reasonably short. It didn’t work lol.

I know its an old video but extremelly useful content. Thank you.
Glad to help! Haven't been doing much CNC lately or I would post more videos.

As someone familiar with 3D printing but new to CNC, this video (actually, the whole series) has been insanely helpful and educational. Thank you
Glad to help. That was my background as well and definitely felt like there were a lot of missing steps and assumptions that no one had talked about.
Brilliant video, everything so simply explained. Great for a a cnc user of 30 years who is just learning fusion 360!😁
Glad I could help! Fusion is very powerful stuff. Love the combined CAD and CAM, especially as a hobbyist.
very clear and concise explanation. Thanks for sharing.
Subbed for more! 😎👍

Great job with this. Very concise and great tips the whole way through.
Thanks! Glad to help others learning this.
excellent video looking forward to seeing the cuts!
Great video. This shows exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
This was a really well done tutorial, great job! I subscribed for sure.
Glad to help!
This was really great. Cheers

Did you end up making a quad frame?

I like your style. Very informative. Thank you.
Thanks! I appreciate that very much. Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you so much for making this video.
Keep it up. Your videos are great.
Great video! Really helped a lot!
AWESOME VIDEO THANK YOU!
when using the ramp feature, is there any way to avoid the ramp in where it kind of hovers around the work piece before plunging in?
Hi Mate, fusion wont allow me to do the circular face selection with the same diameter option did you have that problem? Thanks
Wow thats alot of work! I must say Estlcam is alot easier for most projects.
Fantastic. Way easier than Mastercam
love it! I just started F360 2 weeks ago.. Can you a video on gopro session camera mount for miniquads? thank

Yeah I’ve got a video on getting the PP going. th-cam.com/video/UcBULdrHPNI/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps.
Do you have any f360 drawing videos?

Im worried about using sticky tape under my parts, I think the cnc will eat it and jam up haha. Very informative video, thank you so much!

@@gump1119 wow, thanks for the reply :) I'll look into it!
You are my lord and saviour.
How do you secure such thin material?
Usually the superglue and painters tape method
What do you use for your post processing to gcode?
Check my other video in my CNC playlist. I use the DIY CNC fusion post processor that works with the MPCNC.
@@gump1119 cool, I'll take a look.
What post-processing do you use with fusion 360 to work with the MPCNC
Hey. Check my other MPCNC video. It walks through the setup.
