    Holy shit this looks really good!!! The great thing about making facility supervisors these moderately in-depth bosses is that it closes the skill gap by slowly guiding players towards harder gameplay. Instead of throwing them straight into the deep end wuth just FOs coming off of the standard gameplay of CEO, this is going to give players a taste of strategic, thoughtful gameplay as soon as Daisy Gardens

      @@exterminator9676Mouthpiece is a manager from corporate clash. Her whole gimmick revolves around if you hit her or the other cogs you get a damage penalty for it. She can also hit two toons at once as well as a second attack. Pretty similar to what we see here actually.

      @somekindofforcedpunonnikki2775 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@exterminator9676 yeah that's a common theme in other manager fights as well. Pacesetter forces you to hit certain cogs with different gags and restricts certain levels, litigator retaliates against squirt, featherbedder retaliates when sound is used depending on how many napping cogs there are, and stenographer bans gag levels and applies sanctions that heavily reduce damage. I mean even the counter part to this gal would be our own head attorney in clash which punishes combo damage with a power trip. Pretty similar gimmicks that revolve around restricting gags or forcing certain hits and punishing those that don't comply.

    I'll be honest, here. I think Clash handles mgrs a bit better, due to the many rebalences to gags. Not only that, but the mgrs just oose personality, and from what I've seen with the supervisors, that's just not the case with their static, out of place, heads. Then there's also the fact that the way they balanced sound for this fight, wasn't to make it a more balanced gag overall, but instead to make it hurt or even potentially kill you. Overall, TTR's supervisors thus far just seem like watered down versions of Clash's mgrs, and I hope they improve upon them in the coming months before release. I know TTR can do better, and I scencerly hope they do.

    • @_ZeroSum_
      @_ZeroSum_ ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I think the sound ban in this fight is intended to push her interaction with her adds. You can't kill adds while dealing any meaningful damage to the boss herself because you can't use sound at all, so just focus on the boss until she buffs her adds

    • @AkumuVids
      @AkumuVids ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@_ZeroSum_ Even if that is the case, I still think Clash does it better with mangers like Prethinker, Deepdiver, Major Player, and Pacesetter. They do it too, without punishing you for using specific gags (with small exceptions for Pace, as Rush Job exists, in which you need to used a specific Gag on a specific Cog).

    • @_ZeroSum_
      @_ZeroSum_ ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@AkumuVids I agree that those are more interesting variations of the same idea, but they all point towards the same pattern of gameplay. Saying directly to not use sound will get the idea across more clearly than creating a situation where sound is suboptimal.
      Plus, sound is great in pacesetter specifically for cheating rush jobs, and like a necessity in prethinker to open him up, especially turn 1.
      What I think is really interesting is that featherbedder basically does the same thing, but zap existing means that in featherbedder's case, the sound ban promotes a playstyle of quickly zapping two to three tanky adds at a time. Idk if that's relevant to the conversation, I just think feather is a really cool fight lol

    • @exterminator9676
      @exterminator9676 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Big disagree. Clash Cogs feel more like a Toon's idealized silly versions of a Cog and if these bosses were super difficult then it would make suit grind even more tedious. I respect TTR for keeping it accurate to TTO and actually making them Cogs.

    • @_ZeroSum_
      @_ZeroSum_ ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@exterminator9676 I really like what clash has done with cog designs. For a cartoony game, TTO went really gross-out with its enemy design, making them all really ugly and off-putting. Every cog is wrinkly, uncanny with their smiles, or even a little racist with stuff like Name Dropper. The best cog designs are the ones that aren't like that, like Flunky, Big Cheese, Legal Eagle.
      Clash changed the art direction to make cogs distinctly evil and un-toony, cartoonish villains. They're exaggerated in ways that are appealing to look at, but still aren't like toons at all. A lot of them incorporate creepiness or inorganic concepts into their designs, like Spin Doctor, Bottom Feeder, Shyster. The managers who don't follow this trend and look more toony or humanoid than not have good, plot-important reasons to do so, and their being the exception is something that's special in-game. Duck Shuffler is really toony because he's a weak cog, Rainmaker is really appealing because she's supposed to have this connection to toons.
      That's all to say that, I think Clash took the idea of cartoon robots to a really good place. It makes playing through bosses with these designs a lot more visually interesting than TTO, in my opinion
