For those who don't know, Gravity Circuit's soundtrack is done by Dominic Ninmark, who you may recognise for making a lot of eurobeat remixes including but not limited to Upper Brinstar, Big Blue and Waluigi Pinball.
Some of his music has also been featured in TerminalMontage´s channel(Like his Eurobeat Remix of Ridley) and he also has done the soundtrack for the entirety of DYA Games library, which i highly recommend, specially Bot Vice. Though he is more known for doing the sountrack of the fangame that has been in development for over a decade, Megaman X Corrupted.
Played Gravity Circuit on the day it released and it was incredible, one thing that was my favorite part of this game was its music and more specifically was how the Circuit's stage themes were incorporated into not only their stage select introduction but the boss theme Deletion Dual. Also ngl I thought the Kernel was Mangakamen coded when I played it, I dont really know why he just had those vibes and I love him
Gravity Circuit was a fantastic game, though it suffered from the same problem as almost every Megaman game, in that it was over so fast and I wanted more because of how good it was 😔
This is the first video of any TH-camr that talks about a game that I actually haven't played, usually when I watch a video with a title saying "The game you've never played/knew" chances are I have played it or at least heard about it, and it's usually the usual games you see on people's "underrated" lists on [insert platform]. Props for you and your team for making this video I enjoyed watching it.
I was one of those people who was *absolutely* waiting for this game and played it on release. I've been a huge fan of the musician, Dominik Ninmark, so once I learned Gravity Circuit was a thing, I wishlisted it and was excitedly waiting for this gem of a game. It's a fantastic love letter to Megaman games while also having its own identity, I recommend more people play this game
Something I wanna add is that the hook shoot can be used as a primary attack with the right chips since there's an achievement for beating the game with it only.
I highly recommend this game. I picked this game up on Switch about a month or so back for like $8, and odd slowdown on Switch aside, it's a kickass game with tons of flexibility and personality. You can piledrive everything and that's all that really matters in the end.
Nice to see someone else contributing to the awareness of this game. I watched GaijinGoomba play through it upon launch, and I was captivated by the score and opening level alone. It’s a damn shame this was never really picked up on bigger platforms.
Gravity Circuit gave me a feeling that I get from a lot of my favorite games like Bayonetta and Hades: an intense desire to get better purely for my own satisfaction independent of an in-game ranking system. It feels so awesome to fluidly defeat enemies and throw them into each other all while running through the levels at high speed
7:00 Better...and faster. That was the breakthrough for me on this game. Sure, I enjoyed the game when I was playing it slowly, like an old-school NES Mega Man game. But Kai is engineered for speed...and where this went next-level for me was when I dropped the need to destroy every enemy in the stage, and tried to get through a stage as quickly as possible. That. That moment right there. I'm no speedrunner, but man, going fast on this game just feels so darn good. Movement is just so fluid and precise. Absolutely top-notch game, and I'm glad I stumbled across it the day it was released.
I didn't get this game until after the new year, but a good 70% of what makes a great game is the soundtrack. My mantra is: "If it's got good music, it's worth suffering through. If it's got good gameplay on top of it, it's great." And yeah! The game is a blast to play. There are so many small minutia that you can pull off with the combat in this game that make it so much more than just walking up to someone and punching them. As an example, there is a boss later on that will periodically give itself a shield that must be broken, wherein it doesn't take any damage and effectively gets super armor. You could just break it with a well-timed burst technique, BUT if you happen to have the palette that turns your jump into a big damage box, with fast enough jump mashing you could break the shield before that boss can get a hit in. Another palette makes it so you can fire little half-damage energy balls with certain attacks, and one of your attacks will fire three of those balls, which will all connect in super close-quarters. Two of that attack are enough to break the shield and immediately start putting on damage, with some of the orbs breaking through to deal extra chip damage. If you don't want to go either of those routes, and want to just use Iconic Red, then it's worth noting that when you land after a jump, even if you got an attack out, you can get another attack in from a standstill with no delay, meaning you could attack as fast as if you had the Frame Amplifier chip equipped, which halves the delay between your punches (and is probably the one chip I have equipped more often than any other). Also holy cow I did NOT know you could hover just by repeatedly grabbing and throwing enemies. I gotta practice that.
I was super hyped for this game and brought it at launch. I didn't think that people would make it their game of the year though but glad to see the support.
My pick for game of the year is Cassette Beasts. Anther indie game that I love for a lot of similar reasons you like Gravity Circuit. How ever, instead of Megaman it Pokemon that inspired it. Pixel art open world with some nice twist to turn bass combat. Super effective moves give de-buffs instead of doing extra damage, and getting hit by an attack you resisted give ya a buff. Not to mention the fusions and ap generation mechanics. I left a comment on your previous video on it right before posting this one.
This is probably my favorite game i played this year so far, it does everything i wanted from a new megaman title and more, which is why i'm sad it's so obscure. I'm glad to see someone talking about it.
Im sad Baldurs Gate 3 with its perversiona nd even ''''Inclusivness-Attempt''''' regarding polyamory aka harems aka thing so problematic its rare in real life, is so hyped-up
Just by playing the demo I was hooked and I bought the game when it came out, it's really fun and dynamic, something that the combat system really contributes to. Also the soundtrack is amazing, each level has great music that fits the area, and the fact that each boss intro and battle music includes elements of their level's theme just makes it so much awesome.
I'm so glad that Gravity Rush is getting so much more love now. I was a Day One Adopter, and I loved the game to DEATH. Still do, and sometimes try to give a go at speedrunning the game
The Nurse is cute... But Medly is hot! I play it and then got the platinum trophy because it was so good I just could not have enought of Gravity Circuit.
I barely have seen anyone done a review or anything on this game. It my favorite indie game so far. I play it and it was so fun, it was hard to get used to the game at first but now it’s really fun. I wish it was on game award.
You convinced me. I just pre-ordered this on Amazon but it doesn’t ship until March, so there’s a good chance I’ll buy a digital copy too before then. 😅
I have bought the game with its soundtrack, but haven’t gotten around to playing it yet. But seeing the gameplay it looks amazing and I love Mega Man X type or Shoot & Run Platformer games. This game deserves more recognition.
Dude I seriously love the art and design for your avatar! So freaking awesome! Great video, you've sold me 100%. I was trying to decide between this and Cassette Beasts!
Haven't really played the mega man games that much, despite loving a lot of the music for it. Bought Gravity circut purely because of this video. Beat the first level, then didn't pick it back up till yesterday. Just beat it for the first time about 30 minutes ago and unlocked all the skins. Had an absolute blast playing it! Loved the characters and music, I'm not good at the game but there's enough abilities where I was still able to do it! Thank you for recommending this wonderful game
Best game no one in my friends list will try 😂 like sure i want it to be a 100hr metroidvania rpg w online coop without the retro graphics but other than that this game would be goat
I love how that’s the title for every gravity circuit video I’ve seen, partially cause I’m always like: “I’m going to get this and play it” afterwards, I still haven’t got it just cause I’m working through my list of games XD
Fun fact: The guy who did the soundtrack also did it for Megaman X Corrupted. That itself is worthy of your purchase Also my first playthrough has 69 Deaths
@@Mangakamen I saw greatness in this game the moment I saw you can Pile Drive enemies down 10ft pits and I personally also love when platformers give you what I like to call “Schmovement” essentially just fast paced action gameplay that allows you to freely cancel one movement into another in a smooth fashion. When I get free time I gotta try to get better at this game. I hope more DLC like level packs come out for this game too.
Kinda, but I'm moreso referring to actually throwing enemies, rather than shooting them out. And with that in mind, not every Kirby game has Throw or other adjacent abilities.
I ended up getting this game for the switch and it was definitely a lot of fun. But I gotta say Manga’s gameplay makes me feel Like I was a little old lady while I was playing it because I was not that fast. I honestly didn’t use much of the grappling mechanics I focused mostly on traversal dashing double jump, that sort of thing. I basically treated it like a mega man game figure out the bosses pattern. Hit them when you can dodge a lot. Frankly, watching his gameplay, makes me pumped and want to play some more.
I became aware of this game around the time that it came out, and everything about it worked for me to the point where I completed the game (not the achievements tho because I can only do so much). Glad to someone shining light on it! (Edit): I had no idea the game was getting updates so I’ll have to check that out as soon as I can!
Personally I'm fairly new to the Mega Man series so the difficulty in this game felt just right for me. It got a lot easier with the palette swapping upgrades, but then the new game+ has a whole bunch of difficulty modifiers to help you choose your own difficulty and keep the replay value. :)
I have been eyeing this game for a long time now. Especially because of that grappling hook( I loved the recoil rod in MegaMan Zero 2) but this video finally sold me on it. Thanks mangakamen (Now I just need some money)

I'm playing through the game currently and I really like it. My primary gripes come down to personal taste more than anything. I would rather Kai use a gun instead of melee attacks. And I don't much care for color palette and the art style in general. Kai's all red, enemy 1 is green, 2 is purple. It's kinda boring to me. Of all the things it could have taken from the X series to be inspired by apparently the art wasn't one of them. Im those games those sprites are like BLAM! You know what I mean? Makes you wanna draw them cus they're so fun and distinctive. Gravity Circuit I don't really remember any sprites. They all sort of blend together.
