- From BS Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBB) to Medicine. This is one of the more common but unpopular tracks that people take before Medicine because it's hard to get into the course but it's harder to get out. Join me as we ask questions from an MBB major who is now a medical student!
The "What's Your Pre-Med" series aims to help those who are still in high school to decide which pre-med is best for them. And for those who are currently in college/university, this could help them maximize the potential of their pre-med courses.

DISCLAIMER: I personally don't believe that there is such thing as a "best pre-med" because nowadays anything can be a pre-med. The term "pre-med" used in the series is defined as the course someone took before entering medical school. If at some point the interviewer or the interviewee mentions "best pre-med" then it is his/her personal opinion and should not be taken as a fact.

Biomedical Science is also a very popular choice as pre-med, just because med school is very hard to get in, failed students start biomed and try again some years later.
I never aimed to be a physician. Directly went for biomed!

@@JVTomas Oo nga po eh, I was searching for it nga po sa YT if ever but unfortunately mejo unheard of siya bcos of the long years of studying. I am an Opto student so kahit mejo matagal eh I'm considering med as part of my future plans too. Para kung sakali, I can take ophthalmology residency.

Hi po! I was about to choose BS Bio in UPD as my first course choice. However, after many consultations, I considered MBB as the first one, followed by BS Bio. If ever po nakapasa ka sa MBB pero gusto mo talaga BS Bio (kaso 2nd choice mo siya), pwede po ba piliin ang BS Bio? since sabi nila pag di ka pasado mbb, automatic di na rin sa bio po. Thanks po
I think you have to consult the registrar for this but as long as there's a slot and you passed the UPCA naman, I feel like they'll allow it.
