After having discovered your channel + listening to every mix 1 by 1 fm the 1st, I reached the 100th mix only now. Congrats for all yr job. Pity that , at least here in Italy this mix is ruined by ads 😞. Not the others though.
Thank you for keeping long-form music going, where you're led by the hand (or the ear -- but all the body and mind really) into a long, arching structure. There are lots of connections I think, between the music you put on here and things like the long symphonies of Bruckner and Mahler -- both starting from small ideas, added to, and embellished, but always following logically on. And sod the analysis -- I love getting home and turning the lights down and perhaps enjoying a little "refreshment" and not thinking, not having to say or do anything, or please anyone, but just to shut the commercial day down and start living the real one.
Hypnus Records is one of the most interesting electronic music labels out there right now. Labels such as R&S, WARP, and HYPNUS are devoted to style and creativity, not commercialism. Don't get me wrong, these labels need to make money like all of us, their art simply comes before any commercial consideration, (even if sacrifices have to be made in the process). In our present economical system it is very difficult for an artist to be authentic, (do what you really want to do) because of all the external forces and presures that limit their potential. The need to survive will make you listen to the guy who says in your ear, "hey, you could be making more money if you tweak this or that in your principles or creativity". Artists shouldn't depend on banks, clicks or any kind of popularity for their survival.
